I tried it when...Kays? Lizz? I forget who, but someone gave me their tag number, and I found a place to search for them, but it kept telling me I needed to enter the tag number. Maybe they gave me the wrong number by mistake. @Audy what's your number?

I had probably the worst first introduction with beer. It tasted genuinely wrong, and when other people— who were used to beer— had it, they confirmed it tasted like it had gone bad. Sooooo the next time I tried it, the experience kinda tainted me xD I swear the "good" beer tasted worse, but that could be because I just don't know what I like... and since I mostly drink at work, I don't really have the space to make faces to get used to it (hello I am in advertising one agency literally locked their beer fridge to get timesheets in on time and it worked)
I like cider because the alcohol cuts the super sweet taste. I want to try other types of alcohol, but that would require going out to buy the individual glasses and I'm still fairly strapped for cash.
My meds also make me more sensitive to alcohol, so I'm always super cautious of where I drink and how much. -
Blue, I had trouble with this too not too long ago. I didn't realize I had to put the pound/number/hashtag symbol between my name and number when searching. Like this Audy#1234 (that's just an example, I wouldn't give away anyone's username)
-
OH you have to put their name AND the number? Because if that's the case, that's 100% what my problem was.
<further proof I am an old grandma because I literally n ever would have thought of that> -
Yus C: it confused me aswell xP don't forget the pound/number/hashtag sign!

(I do not understand discord, nope)
I live in wine country, I should like wine. I generally don't. Well, no, that's not entirely it. I like wine, but most wine does not agree with me (I'm allergic to something in most of them, I think). My brother is the big beer drinker, and him and our uncle like to talk about beer for hours on end. They love IPAs. I do not. I'll take something lighter or fruity or a cider, usually.
But yes, YWS and boardgames. -
In a fun coincidence, girl and I are actually having a drinks and board game night tomorrow, with two other couples. Oh, and Jackbox games, cause they're amazing for big groups.
I don't like wine, except the rare Rosè, so I'll probably just mix something with sprite. Getting something tomorrow, considering Sourz. Any suggestions? -
I, too, can't stand beer. Cider is okay but I never go for it if there are other choices because it just makes me feel bloaty? And they're usually too fizzy for me, I don't like fizzy drinks much anyway but least of all in alcohol because fizz is usually paired with sweetness and that combination in alcoholic drinks always makes me feel kind of icky xD although I guess sparkling wine is fizzy and I do like that.
White wine is my preferred drink. My favourite type is Riesling, but most white wines are fine, as long as they're not too sweet (which at least Moscato tends to be in my opinion). Semi-dry tends to go down the best, I'm not a huge fan of anything too dry. I don't really like red wine that much, or at least I never choose to have it over white.
As for cocktails, G&T is life. I also like fruity ones in moderation. Usually anything that's red is lovely >.> I love a good frozen strawberry margarita.
I used to be very uptight about alcohol, as in I frowned upon anyone who dared to have a drink xD I'm not really sure why? I guess that it automatically associated with excessive drunkenness and being out of control? Even when most often it totally doesn't - nowadays I enjoy having a couple of drinks on occasion, but I don't really ever get drunk? I just don't drink in order to be drunk, and also whenever I drink I drink pretty slowly so it doesn't really go to my head xD so I don't think that not getting drunk is because I somehow have a really high tolerance or something.
Where I'm from, getting hammered seems to often be the only point of drinking, which really annoys me because I just don't see the appeal? I guess in that sense I'm still a bit uptight xD
Basically, whatever @StellaThomas said.
@birk, white wine spritzers (white wine mixed with lemonade) are actually really nice, although I know you said you don't like wine so feel free to ignore me xD -
I keep getting mistaken for teetotal, heh
I've never really been keen on wine, beer or cider, which are the typical "out for a meal or a trip to the pub" kind of drinks around here, so I always default to Coke - and now it's more a habit than anything. But I always think that if I decide to persuade myself to like one of those, I'll go for white wine. (In fact, the idea of a white wine spritzer kind of appeals, now you mention it, @Demeter, so maybe that's the angle I'll come in from!) Cocktails can be quite nice, but given how infrequently I drink, I really can't handle more than a couple without falling over, which never feels like the way I want to end my evening

White wine spritzers are lovely! I've never had it with lemonade though
we usually mix cheap box white wine with sprite. -
@Lauren2010, for me Sprite and lemonade are essentially the same thing so I think that is same enough xD

I just had a cup of wine last night, and I'm having a mini crisis on becoming those stereotypical grad students drinking wine as they read papers. XD
It was a fairly good chilled pinot gris (I bought the bottle to put fairy lights, tbh. ) -
I had two espresso martinis last week. Wait. Three.
The first two were the absolute perfect combination of chocolate, coffee and vodka. I can't explain how good they were. And so frothy.
@Lava - I love it.
(Was if the SEXYICU paper because that would have put me off I think) -
So yesterday we had trees falling. Rain and baby flood everywhere. Tropical storm in non tropical region, imagine that.
But how did I best that beast? Bordeaux Blanc with a grapefruit infusion. Like. Heaven.
