I have to admit, until seeing this show, I always thought the Flash was kind of a silly superhero. WOO HOO HE CAN RUN FAST. Nice that he can catch purse thieves and whatnot, but what's he supposed to do about real threats?
Wow, did the show prove me wrong or what? All the scientific (or semi-scientific) explanations for how Barry can use his speed to defeat various threats to Central City are AWESOME. It's awesome.
Plus I love when sci-fi things - books, movies, television, whatever - use real science that we know and then just stretch it a bit beyond what we know to make their ideas work.
(That's what I liked about the first two hours of Interstellar, before the bit with the black holes, where they proceeded to throw out all the good world-building and scientific research they'd done because Black Holes, Man, and also by then we'd been in the theater for eighty years and I was ready for the movie to be over.)
What's the coolest thing Barry can do with his speed? Do you like the science behind it, or are you more interested in the application? Would you have thought of that solution, as a writer?
