Since I've been steadily plucking away at a new novel plan, I figured I might as well find a place to show my progress and make myself feel good about putting in all of this time and hopefully create a good story once I'm finished. (Which will be in the far distant future.)
The idea is currently untitled, though I think I might name it something along the lines of what might be a bad thing to have at the end - A Scarf Dyed Blue since this is a sign of the enemy that should hopefully play a part later in the story.
I'm pretty excited for this idea! I've got the first attempt at an outline nearly complete, and I know how I want this to end, at least.

Since Tuesday, I've been steadily working on the novel planning! I haven't typed up the rest of the outline I've worked on, but I only have the last bit to write I think. XD
I do like having the online pretty much finished, though. Plus I finally had my finals (lol at that pun), and so I've got the most time to write and plan for the first time in literal months. -
For the next year, I’m definitely going to try my best at keeping up with this. 100 words a day is very doable, or so I sincerely hope so. I can’t wait for the new year XD

Alright, y'all, gonna start this year off fresh and in style.
I think if I did this along with writing for twenty minutes a day, I could eventually get somewhere with a new novel idea or at least keep up my writing. ^^
Today, I kept trying to come up with an introduction to the novel I wanna do, still by the title, A Scarf Dyed Blue, but I eventually stuck with the following:Spoiler
The wind spoke of a nearing storm to all that would hear, including Halrie who had spent the last hour climbing a rather tall cliff to flee from the village's other children. Her dark hair was tied into a short braid, while her thin clothes did little to shield her from the cold. At the moment, she cared little about the temperature and more about getting away from the evil twerps her grandmother said to ignore and not engage.
Sitting in front of a now small fire, the girl shivered and clutched at her arms. Halrie did not have the energy to curse at the cruel gods for this circumstance, but she decided to add her thoughts to her nightly prayers.

Coming in for round two today! Another portion for A Scarf Dyed Blue, but I'm hoping to make it a few more words over a regular 100.
Spoiler
Even living where she was with the annual snow droppings, she could never dress warm enough to fight the cold.
Her nana would worry within the next hour if she did not show up back to their hut, yet Halrie liked the quiet here far more than the loud laughter that haunted her footsteps. Despite there being a wicked breeze every few seconds, nature noises carried far more of a peaceful feeling for her, plus glancing over small animals brought a small smile across her face.
She could stay a few more minutes. Her grandmother watched alongside the other village members on how Halrie, the odd child, was chased by everyone else. Today was a combination of hair pulling and mindless chatter while she ran so far she probably could have reached the kingdom. She had earned a restful moment.

Let's go for day three of 2020. Gonna shorten A Scarf Dyed Blue to ASDB just to save a little time of literally typing the same four words over and over again XD. :> for future reference.
Spoiler
In what felt like little time at all, a snowflake dropped onto the ground beside her. Halrie looked up to notice that the sky had somehow turned a far darker shade of grey. She should make her way to a shelter, but the weather change drew her attention further, even more than her shivering limbs and cold breaths.
It was the same feeling she would get standing near the few lakes near her village, if she was alone, listening to the soft waves hit the shore. Though this time, her eyes could not look away. If she looked close enough to the clouds floating above, a hand could be seen reaching towards the earth, as if matching with the falling clumps of snow.
A growing part of her mind encouraged her to stay here even longer, as if something grand would occur, but Halrie shook her head clear of those odd thoughts. Her grandmother was surely worried over her whereabouts now, despite her poor advice and spotty care, so she had better be on her way back.

Day four I got to writing late, but hopefully now I can get down to business again for ASDB E:
Spoiler
A squirrel shuffled by the stone pathway, startling her footsteps.
All of the animals should be hiding away, right, like they always do once the months get cold. Halrie peered back at the flash of trees along the border of the hill. Curious. She shrugged to herself before picking up her pace. Asking the villagers back home would make for an interesting conversation, at least until the adults would question her whereabouts.
She needed to walk a short ways back to her grandmother, but the increasing snowfall motivated her to cut the journey shorter than normal. Her hands were clasped into tight fists under her thin coat, parts of it made from shorn sheep amid the livestock. Once Halrie crossed the last bridge that led to the frontend of the town, she ran into a warmer building, knocking on the front porch of her shared home.

Day five I've also gotten to writing late, but I don't mind really XD get a few more words in for ASDB. Also, this is exactly 100 words lol.
Spoiler
No one answered, but she figured perhaps everyone was asleep by now, as her grandmother was a rather old woman. Halrie stepped inside, her feet light against the coarse wooden floors. The door to where the two of them slept was closed, leaving the rest of the small home dark and empty. She sat down onto one of the few pieces of furniture, setting her back across a harsh chair frame.
Her eyes slid shut while her body slumped forwards. Tomorrow would be the day she could speak with her grandmother about the weird feeling she had towards the weather.

Day six
I'll be able to write a lot earlier. Here's another small round for ASDB. Uh no I was wrong, here I am late again.Spoiler
Halrie startled awake from a loud noise. She blinked at the sight of an older woman shaking with some kind of rage. Her nana did not hold her regular smile across her face, which was alarming and made her a bit nervous. Instead, her graying hair was falling out of a messy ponytail, while her hands clenched her apron and wrinkled it.
Neither of them said anything, but Halrie had not truly woken up, and felt more confused than anything. She had an odd feeling that she should speak first, so she whispers a few words aloud.
“Nana? Is something wrong?”

Day seven I gotta work on this somewhat earlier in the afternoon, some more for ASDB. Went back and edited a small amount for the previous version.
Spoiler
“Na-na? I know I got home late, but, I got caught outside.” Her hair fell into her eyes, but her breath pushed the strands away. “Is something wrong?”
Her grandmother grunted, shaking her head. “You insolent child.” A frown flickered off, but a dark look remained.
Halrie did not reply, hoping that if she stayed quiet, an explanation would follow. Her patience paid off in the form of the older woman rubbing at the sides of her head.
“Yesterday, you were chased by the young’uns, but,” she looked away from Halrie, “you didn’t come back ’til late, so you didn’t see what happened after.”
What could have happened that was so bad? She repeated that question to her nana.
“The kids, they’re all-all,” Nana shook in place, nearly vibrating like she was before. “Gone.”
The final word was shouted, making Halrie jump.

Day eight, I'm gonna break 1k words, which is exciting ^^
Spoiler
“Gone? In what way?” They must be planning a prank of some sort, for they all had ran towards her around the town.
Her grandmother waved a hand, pointing towards the sole painting in the house, of a note precariously perched on top of a small table.
“And, what does that mean?” Halrie sat, not knowing what to say in answer to that.
The older woman paused, taking in a deep breath. “Only a note, that’s all that was left. It was taped to the town hall’s front door.”
Her eyes opened wide. What kind of magic could make something like this happen, in not even a whole day?
Her grandmother was now whispering to herself, not paying any attention to Halrie. She stood up, rubbing at her head with shaking hands.

So, actually day eight, my mind was cursed yesterday. The word count for day seven entirely is 274, so 141 + 133.
Spoiler
Her feet led her to a window, and she gazed outside, glancing over every person walking by. Each one carried a sign of grief, either a large frown, or wet eyes, or the worst, clutching onto what she assumed was an article of clothing from one of the gone children.
She could not pretend to be too disheartened that her bullies had come to such an unfortunate fate, but Halrie did want to learn who did this whole thing. Someone with magic, but that was a myth, the stories of fire-breathing women and men who last hours underneath the water. All stories to inspire the young ones to respect their elders and the legends.

I had done some writing yesterday, but I kind of want to scrap my previous writings (it wasn't much anyways) and so I'll be starting fresh.
I had typoed Scard as Scard, so this slightly different idea will now be A Shard Of Blue.
