Rules

11 posts in this topic.

  1. Rules
    1. No gore, violence, etc

    2. Please keep it to mild cussing or none at all

    3. No sex or explicit romance

    4. No god-modding

    5. Be courteous- if you're in a combat, take hits just like the other player. Don't force things on other players so they have no way out.

    6. YWS' site guidelines for roleplays are applicable here.

    7. If you are making a forum that allows anything that's not PG. Just throw it in next to the genre. No NSFW/sexually explicit anything, ever, period. If there is no disclaimer there and @RavenLord or I see any of the aforementioned things happening (for instance there is excessive violence, cussing, or sexual themes/implications), all posts involving the violation will be deleted and it will count as an offense.

Basically, keep it PG unless there is a disclaimer in the forum name.

And please, everyone, remember the genre and time period in your forum titles.

    Consequences

The first time you break a rule, it will result in a gentle reminder in one of the administrators or officers asking you to please refrain from doing it again. The second, third, and fourth times you will get a warning. The fifth time you have broken a rule, you will be banned. These warnings will be given on the forums in the location that it happens, not by PM.

    Meetings
If you would like to have a meeting in the Discord, forum, or WriterFeedPad, post it on the wall. I thought I'd already made this but when I scrolled through the forums I realized it was missing.

If you already have a genre/time period, writing style (paragraphs, sentences, etc.), or anything other specifics, please include it in your post.

Be sure to post the link to a forum or WriterFeedPad if that is what you are using.

Remember, this is not a storybook. This means you don't move other characters, say their dialogue, or reflect their feelings. You simply write your character's perception of them. If your character thinks they are sad, you can say they seemed sad. Don't say they are. That kind of thing.

It's like everyone tells a story about themselves inside their own head. Always. All the time. That story makes you what you are. We build ourselves out of that story.
