Ask another person (on YWS or otherwise) to come up with a simple character idea, and try to include them in your novel. They don't need to be given a big role, or much of a role at all — they can just walk by. Or they can provide a crucial point of information to your MC and save the world. Be sure to thank the person who suggested it!

Here's an idea if anyone needs one: A young lady in her twenties, who's carrying a rainbow duffle bag. She keeps looking down at the bag, checking something, and your character wonders what's in there.
