  1. b]Introduction:[/b]
Hey guys, I'm Prachi, and this thread is for my lms novel, and BTW title suggestions are more than welcome.
Spoiler alert for the whole Percy Jackson series(includes Heroes of Olympus & Trials of Apollo), Magnus Chase series and Kane Chronicles series.

Here is the link for the first Part

    Description of Story:
The story starts when Caleb's supposed-to-be-dead ex-crush appears in the town they lived in and tells Caleb his biological father is an ancient Greek God.
Caleb takes time to believe this, but he eventually does because his mother treated him horribly, saying that he was a reminder of his father, the man who couldn't admit his love to the world. She remarried, and her husband and their kids were also horrible people, and Caleb never knew why she still kept him around and not kick him out.
Veronica takes Caleb to Camp Half-Blood, a place where demigods train so that they can defend themselves against monsters and other ancient Greek deities plotting against them.
On the way, Veronica faints, and Caleb sort of cures her, thanks to his freak demigod abilities (he is later claimed by Apollo, God of many things including medicine). When he cures her, he sees a flashback, back to the day she first came to Camp Half-Blood, when she overhears a conversation between Apollo(he is also the God of prophecies) and Chiron(centaur: instructor at Camp), that Veronica will sacrifice herself one day for someone she loves.
Caleb, till now wondering if he should ask Veronica out since they both liked each other before her fake death, but after this, decides not to. Veronica doesn't spend a lot of time at Camp, and mainly lives and trains in the underworld, her father, Hades' domain(she lived there for like 4 years, yet they never met).
Caleb tries to get over her, and decides to date Katy,

    Spoiler
but eventually, he realises he still likes Veronica and breaks up with Katy), but Veronica has mixed feelings for Caleb, likes another guy(an immortal guy in the underworld), and is scared to date someone and fall for someone, because of the prophecy.

So, every PJ book has had a quest, and mine wouldn't be complete without one, but I'm still figuring this one out, so will update this as soon as I get an idea.
Again, for those of you following my novel, DONT READ WHAT IS IN THE SPOILER.
    Spoiler
Veronica dies in the end, but not for Caleb, for the immortal guy(most of this character is TBD)

    Story's Genre:
Fan Fiction, fantasy, supernatural and romance

    Setting:
They will probably travel somewhere for their quest, but the most important place throughout the novel is Camp, which is on Long Island Sound, New York

Preferred Type of Questions, If Any:
    None, ask me anything.
  2. Oooh, this sounds interesting! Fanfictions featuring ocs are always fun. I've got a question about Veronica, though - in canon, Hades/Pluto has never broken the pact between the Big Three. Is Veronica in a similar situation to Nico and Hazel, or did Hades decide to break it after all?
  3. No, she isn't in a similar situation. In fact, after the events of Percy Jackson, the Gods decided they would no longer need to keep the swear of not having kids with mortals since they realised that intervening a prophecy doesn't turn out right. Apollo, after the events of Trials, realizes that not every demigod would have given Luke that dagger if he or she was in Percy's place, and somehow, he convinces all the major Gods that they should let prophecies play out on their own. So they decide keeping the swear is no longer necessary. Poseidon and Zeus had already broken the oath, so they had already faced consequences, and Hades also eventually falls in love with a mortal, and also has to face the consequences. But the first time is not Veronica's biological mom, and the Hades cabin has a few kids now, not many like other cabins, but has a few.
  4. Oh, cool! So that means this is set a good period of time after Riordan's stuff, since you would need to have time for Veronica to be born and grow up.

Next question - since Veronica is Hades' kid and Nico would probably be adult by then, what's he like as a big brother?

    Spoiler
And how devastated will he be when yet another one of his siblings die?
  5. Actually, this is set more than a hundred years after the original book, but Nico is still around. Nico does heroic work(still deciding what exactly), and the Gods make him an immortal, and he is in charge of many things in the underworld.
In fact, Nico taught Veronica how to shadow travel, and in the course of the book, there is this part where Veronica says this-
“A few years ago, one of my half brothers came up with this. When we have some food that brings back a memory that shows us as a strong, bold person, it helps us recover from Side Traveling.”

It was Nico that came up with this.
Nico and Veronica are closer than any other half-siblings in the original work, and Nico already knows that Veronica overheard Chiron and Apollo talking about the prophecy since she tells him about it.
Nico was very upset when he learnt that she would die(he says this will be Bianca all over again), but the best part is he doesn't show her sympathy since that would make Veronica seem pathetic (one of the many other reasons they are close).
  6. Who's Katy's godly parent?
  7. @Danni88
    Katy's godly parent is Aphrodite.
  8. Ooh, interesting! So not only is this PJO, but it's PJO in the future. How much does that impact the story? Are the characters traveling around from place to place on hover boards, and get to see some cool things via virtual reality?
  9. No. The Gods are afraid that if humans develop more technology they might discover the existence of Gods and that would end up with chaos, so being the jerks they are, they make sure technology doesn't reach an extent.
  10. How did Caleb's mum and Apollo meet?
  11. Whelp, I should have expected something like that from the gods. Are there any gods that are totally down for some new mortal tech? Something tells me Hephaestus would be on board with that, as well as Athena, since innovation is their thing. I'd also guess Ares would be alright with it, to an extent, since he does love when people find new ways to kill each other.
  12. @Danni88 they met at a music festival, back when his mom was young, and not bitter. She'll always had an amazing voice, but she no longer sung as that reminded her of Apollo being a jerk about the whole thing. But Apollo wasn't an exact jerk. Technically, he always kept a close eye on all his kids but didn't show that to anyone, humans or Gods. And he didn't leave Caleb's mom cause he got bored like he did before and like what other gods still do. He left cause he knew they wouldn't have a future and the longer time they spent, the more difficult it would be for both of them. I will mention this later, the Apollo cabin has less children compared to the original series. Unlike the Hades cabin which is the exact opposite.

@Saen I actually hadn't thought about it earlier but now, they develop all the technology humans would have developed if not for them, but add some godly touch to it. But eventually, some gods will introduce this to at least Camp, the hunters, and similar groups. (except Amazons since they'd sell it still acting selfish
  13. Is anyone else from the original alive?
  14. @Danni88
Only Nico. It is set a bit more than hundred years after the original, but Nico was made a God for heroic stuff and he is still there.
  15. Oh, cool! What are his powers? What heroic stuff did he do?
