Even if you're a pantser (like me) you know what your novel will be about. Why not share with us a little blurb? Have you come up with a title yet?

My title -- Retaliation -- is one of the two things that stayed the same since the last time I tried writing what I call "this novel". It's really nothing alike, which is why I call it a rewrite but don't really think of it as a rewrite.
As for a quick blurb -- I've given a few, so I'll just say it involves magic, emotional abuse and recovery, dragon-slaying, and some normal people sprinkled on top. The title fits for a completely different reason now (tying into the idea of the MC retaliating against his princess, and the princess retaliating against the people who dethroned her), and I love it.
(The other thing that stayed the same was the MC's name -- Haranya.) -
Vein-shaped Roots: Guy gets cut in arm. Seed falls in arm. Destiary then has a tree growing in his arm. If you take it out he dies. Learning new things. Dangerous. Things happen.

Yep, I've come up with a title for novel. That's hard for me to comprehend, since I usually suck at coming up with titles, but I do have one - Blessed Are The People. It's an irony, because the people are absolutely not blessed, but that's kind of the point.
A short blurb about it? Okay, I guess I can try to do something like that...basically, the main protagonist, the son of the King of one of the nations in the Confederacy of the Five Kingdoms, his sister, and their servant escape the King's castle because the MC has sort of a rebellious streak and wants to leave. Through a series of unfortunate events, they separate from one another, the members of the Confederacy of the Five Kingdoms declare war on each other, and violence and mayhem ensues between most major powers in the continent the story takes place in. Now the sister and the butler must try to rescue the MC while combating not only the fighting nations, but must also deal with an ancient threat that has been reawakened, thanks in part to the MC.
Yeah...he's the first MC I've ever made who isn't exactly the most agreeable person. -
Santa Monica Sea Monster- Isaac is sent to California for a trip with his cousins and family. When he gets there, he finds a book. This book holds secrets. Soon danger is around him. Things happen like a mediocre rollercoaster.

Not exactly sure if I'll be able to plot this out in time, but...
Angel Affliction: Malachi was an acquaintance of Valerie Ladon for a while, before spontaneously confessing his love for her. Naturally, he was rejected, and this led to an estrangement that drove them apart. A year later, Malachi disappeared. It's revealed that he died, and is now competing in the supernatural Angel War to become the next Grim Reaper. The only problem is, the Angel War involves humans...
And so, the combatants meet in the tenuous battlegrounds of high school, where the seven candidates choose their Familiars to duke it out in supernatural combat. Malachi chooses Valerie, who is less than pleased to see him again. And so, the two share their romantic comedy in a love story that ended a long time ago, while trying to survive a battle that could literally destroy the world [i]by accident.[/b] -
Mine is like the Matrix, except humans actually are fruit which grow on trees. The 'others', the race who eat the fruit, gave us a consciousness.

Mine is about how power affects people: a growing holiness living with a poisoned girl.
My story centers on a girl going to an art school for those of extraordinary power. Her roommate is a girl she fell madly in love with at a previous summer art program. While the two of them work through the complicated origins and implications of their respective gifts, they also work hard to excel in a challenging and fast-paced school environment.
Among their colleagues are many talented witches, some of whom have outside followings and work with powerful forces and gods. It is in this context that the girls begin to grow apart, as one comes to fully embrace and even lose herself in the intensity of her magic and the other comes to the conclusion that she must purge herself of magic entirely.
I hope to write something character-driven that deals with a number of themes I find interesting. The idea is to explore how power affects people. I've been wanting to write a long piece exploring what godliness is and I think this November is as good a time as any. ^^ -
Mine's called "Towards Tomorrow". I'm not really sure how to explain it, but it's very character driven. It focuses a lot on the protagonist and central character, but at times it talks about the people around them too. There's trust issues, family issues, difficulty with moving on from the past, and other stuff. I'm going to try to write about how they try to heal and recover, and see what changes happen to their personalities and how this affects their relationship with others.
I guess in summary, it's a narrative about how my characters try to move on with their life while finding support one another, so that somehow, they won't be picking up the broken pieces by themselves. -
As I mentioned on the board connected to the Poll, I will be working on finishing my current novel which I started a while ago. It's actually part of a trilogy so I'll give the general plot.
General Plot:
200 years in the future, Humans and Sorcerers live side by side in a world which has technologically reverted back to medieval times. The only difference between Humans and Sorcerers is the fact that Sorcerers are able to absorb energy that Humans cannot, thus being able to power amazing abilities. The story follows best friends, 15-year-old Lydia who trains to be a Fighter/Protector and Daniel who works as a Farmer. Everything in life is peaceful until a crazy and very powerful sorcerer decides that Sorcerers are the next step in evolution and that Humans are holding the world back. He sees a world where sorcerers rule and live without having to co-exist with humans. So he secretly starts pulling together a sorcerer army who agree with his beliefs and by the time others catch on, it's too late. In a battle against sorcerers and a race against time, Lydia and Daniel must join the war and figure out how to stop Kinch (the evil Sorcerer) or risk the Human race falling into extinction. -
I'm working on Silk this November. It's a bit of a cheat as I've been working on it since January.
Pip Starsfall lived a charmed life as a playboy, the youngest son of a wealthy merchant. Until out of the blue, his mother is dead, his father's company lies in tatters, their family fortune is gone and he and his father and sisters are forced to leave their city for the tiny, mysterious village of Godsdagger.
Godsdagger seems quaint and idyllic but very soon, they realise this town has a secret. Nobody leaves their house at night, people have disappeared, and the villagers talk of a Beast that stalks through its dark streets.
Pip doesn't believe in curses. He doesn't believe their family's misfortune was anything more than bad luck. He certainly doesn't believe in monsters.
Until one night, he stays out after dark, and realises just how wrong he was.
Pip is tossed into a world where the walls speak, where ghosts roam the woods, where dreams are real and where the Beast is very, very much alive.
And Pip learns love can bloom even in the darkest of places. -

From 0 to 60 is my first attempt at realistic fiction.
The plot rabbits:
Aislinn is a girl controlled by her corrupt parents, a girl who never talks back- but wishes desperately to, a girl who never questions anything- even when she knows it's wrong. The other half of her personality- the half of her that comes out when she spends her nights illegally racing cars in the street- is sarcastic, loud, and never hesitates to throw in her opinion.
But when a date turns disastrous, and she wakes up in the hospital, her two worlds clash. Accompanied by Michael- a young tech genius who's been admitted into MIT, and her sometimes-boyfriend, Drake, who runs her street-racing gig, Ash sets out to learn the truth about her family. -
So, I don't have a name for this yet, but basically this is how it goes:
Two different girls have the same recessive gene. The Angel gene, which, really could have a much better name. They both end up becoming angels through a kiss, but under extremely different circumstances. Belean was sexually assaulted, but Lyra was just plain stupid. They were friends, but once Disease takes hold, just how might this change? -
Synopsis: Jory Mallory, a lonely mute boy from a broken home, is accidentally placed into an art elective, the sole remaining embodiment of the school's failing art program. The class is taught by Miss Defoe, an unconventional and hippie-ish art teacher who believes that anyone can be an artist with a bit of effort. Her high school students come from all grades and all walks of life, from two adopted sisters, a failed cheerleader, a senior often mistaken for a freshman, an agender person, and a football player. Despite their countless differences, they discover they have more in common than they ever thought, and realize just how much the class, the teacher, and each other mean to them.
