Bass, Tenor, Alto, or Soprano?

16 posts in this topic.

  1. Are you a Bass, Tenor, Alto, or Soprano? (My apologies if there are any others that I missed!)
  2. I'm not a vocalist by any means, but we were all required to sing in a choir at my music camp, and I was an alto in that. I have a pretty sad vocal range, tbh.
  3. I am technically a tenor, though I think my voice sounds best in higher ranges.
  4. Mezzo-soprano but I try really hard to be soprano. I'm out of practice, though. I sang a bunch of songs from Phantom of the Opera in the shower yesterday, and wow that is hard when you haven't done any vocal exercises beyond singing in the car for a while.
  5. I'm a true Soprano! I can sing pretty high haha
  6. I don't really know what I would consider myself as, maybe a tenor, but I do have a somewhat wide range, from bass to alto.
  7. A really, really bad alto wannabe
  8. I'm somewhere between an alto and mezzo soprano. My range is exactly two octaves (starting from G below middle C and going up) if I really stretch, a few notes smaller if I don't. I haven't been able to sing regularly in ages, though.
  9. I’m not entirely sure. I can hit some low notes and some high notes. My vocal range is crap tbh
  10. I'm definitely an alto and definitely bad at singing. It's sad because I love it so much.
  11. Soprano.
  12. I think I'm a soprano, but to be honest, I'm not sure. I am able to sing decently high but it can sound breathy, and then there's like this hole in the middle, and then I can sing decently middle-ish. So. That's not vague at all.
  13. Definitely alto - I can sing from the E flat below middle C to the second F above middle C (but the highest few notes are pretty rough and I sound a lot better in my lower range).
  14. I'm in that weird zone called mezzo-soprano. I can sing down into tenor ranges, a D-3 at my lowest, but I still have a lot of my coloratura and upper register too. C-6, for sure. D-6 and E-6 on good days.
  15. *operatic voice* Soprano!
