I love to read the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series. Mostly fantasy like Fablehaven or Harry Potter (even though i haven't read the books, i have seen the movies so that is bond to count.) Also like Romance novels since they give me ideas for love scenes in my novels or whatever.

I like reading and writing fantasy, urban fantasy (think vampires, werewolves, paranormal-y things and superpower stuff), and sci-fi. ^^ Those are my fave genres.

I'm setting up a Fairy Tale Tournament, so with that in mind: what are your favourite fairy tales?

My personal favorite has always been (and will likely always be) Hans Christian Andersen's The Snow Queen. It was absolutely enchanting when I was a child, down to every flake of snow, and I still think it's an incredibly strong tale with a strong message. In my incredibly-beat-up-and-well-read book of HCA's fairy tales, it's probably the most incredibly-beat-up-and-well-read story.

My favourite fairy tale, though, has always been Hans Christian Andersen's The little Mermaid. It's a sad, tragic tale full of the promise of love, and it ends bittersweet. I don't know why, but I love it.
Another fairy tale to take a look at is Bluebeard. It's dark but interesting.

My favorite fairy tale would be the Snow Queen by Hans Christian Andersen. It's exciting, and catching when you read it (as a child).

Also another fairy tale that seems lovely would be Goldilocks.
