Tasks of the Sims
Below are several suggested tasks for families to do over the weeks to get to know one another. If you have your own things you want to do, or you just want to give everyone else presents, that's fine too! These are just suggestions to help groups get off the ground.
Week 1:
Getting to Know You
Write a work which explores something important to you and share it with your family in your family thread. Read and comment on the content of what other people shared.
Week 2:
Family Tree
Make a family tree with the other people in your group. This can be a fun activity if you take some time to decide who would be more likely to be the parents and the children. Post up individually the family tree you want with an explanation for the placements, and then mold them all together into a single functioning family tree. If you finish early, consider writing a story about how the family grew to be the sizes that it is.
Week 3:
I Told You So!
Like in every family, there's bound to be some bickering. Take this week to talk as a family about how you deal with stresses in your life. It might not seem like much, bu sharing your experiences and methods for dealing with these experiences might be beneficial to someone else.
Week 4:
How was Work?
Take some time this week to read over some of the work from your other family members and perhaps even give them a review. If they don't have any work up, talk to them about why they haven't put up any work. Also consider asking and talking to each other about what work they like to do and why they like to write.
