  1. If it doesn't fit in any of the other categories, it can totally find a home here. :] Anything from great burgers to beef stroganoff, if it tastes good without a category, throw it here!

If you remember the source of a recipe you've borrowed, be sure to link it so we can enjoy the original chef's other recipes, too!
  2. Pepperjack Mushroom Burgers!

I'm bad at writing down my proportions because I eyeball everything. That said, you'll want:

    The Meat:
1 pack of ground chuck (about 3 lbs per 6 burgers in my house)
1 medium onion, pureed, mixed by hand into the beef
    1/4-2/5 cup of Worcestershire Sauce
    2 tspn of cayenne
1 clove of garlic or about 1tbspn of garlic paste

Mix everything and form patties of your desired size. The pureed onion will keep the burger juicy even without condiments.

    The Toppings:
2 slices of Pepperjack Cheese per burger, placed on the meat in the final stretch of cooking time to allow perfect melting.

Several Portobello mushrooms--my family is hesitant about mushrooms so I cut mine in half thickness-wise so there's not such a mouth feel to them. One (slice) per burger. Grill these after generously coating with a combo of olive oil, 2 tspn of soy sauce, and garlic.

Compose the burgers with buns toasted on the grill and top with the mushrooms, crisp arugula, and grilled onions (with no special treatment; just heat). Personally, I find that the burger is juicy enough without condiments, but add at your own leisure. Sometimes the acidity in mayo can be a nice touch to contrast the richness of the mushrooms.
