Hey Raven! Thewriter13 here to review this review!
First off you should always look over your review at least twice to make sure everything is spelled correctly so as not to confuse the author (I've done it before, guilty as charged). BUT you should still do it.
I don't know if I'm supposed to point out nitpicks for reviews, but I guess I'll do it anyway...Where they hanging upside down?
Typo! This chapter gives us insight to the character's mind. Them wishing to belong to some clan of sorts.
Okay these two sentences confuse me. The author might understand them, but perhaps be more concise in what you're saying: "This chapter shows what the character is thinking. Because of this, we can see how they want to belong to a clan." It just makes more sense if you're more concise.
You do a good job of telling the author what you want more of. But you should also point out the fault of lack of description. You do ask questions about what they look like when they say things, but the author might not take the hint. Say clearly: "You need to be more descriptive in this chapter. Not only describe how they talk or what they do, but SHOW us, not tell us." So be clear.

Ok, I will be blunt here. Your review was good, but it wasn't great. It was frankly, too short. I know the piece itself is short and you're still new to reviewing, relatively new. I guess I'm very pedantic when it comes to reviews, so excuse me if I'm being a big bad meanie.
You've mainly pointed out the technical details in the story, such as spelling, grammar and yes, you have asked her some questions but you need to answer those questions yourself unless is about the plot. Pointing out what is wrong is not enough, you need to give them advice on how to improve it.
One note on your review style, it would help if you comment a bit on their writing style and the content as well. For example, in that piece. You weren't honest enough, I can see some sugar-costing in your review. It isn't bad, but you need to be more honest in some cases. That, was not a chapter, or a short because it was so short. It was basically an extract from a longer chapter or something, it made close to no sense. Her writing style could also use some work, she choose to tell everything to the readers. It was basically a plot synopsis. All these things are worth mentioning and all these points can be offered advice.
At the end of the day, reviewing is a learning experience for both you and the author. Take time, learn. Keep reviewing. <3
