We aren’t very strict around here! The goal is for everyone to read :) we allow manga, fanfics, proof-reading your friend’s novel draft, etc.

With manga, you post the title and the volume of the tankōbon book you read. However, if you’re reading manga online… you’ll have to google the volumes and just post them individually until you get to the amount of chapters you’ve read LOL

For example, Fullmetal Alchemist has 27 volumes, and so if I binged the entire series this month, I could list them all individually in 27 separate messages.

    Does that make sense?

Though, as a footnote and not necessarily an accusation or anything, but I do want to note here that if people in general use that to abuse the count and win the all-star award each month, then I would have to change the policy. But I don’t think that’ll happen! Just gonna note it here for posterity. :)

    Thank you for the explanation!

I just read the entirety of Reborn while I was ill which would be 42 volumes this month... I am hesistant to call this 42 books....

I can ask the entire club for their opinions on how we should record manga, if you’d like! On one hand, I do think that making 42 separate listings would be overkill. On the other hand, I don’t think that reading an entire manga series is equal to one post, because that’s a lot of reading! And what about mangas like One Piece, that are incomplete and insanely long? And I also don’t want to exclude manga entirely, because it’s still reading.

I suppose you could make one post per manga that you have read or are actively reading, like those people who read One Piece weekly…

    What do YOU think? :-)
