Basic:
To stay in the contest you have to submit one piece of work per week of 800+ words or more.
It's okay to go back and edit your work after it has been submitted, so long as it still maintains the 800+ requirement.
You're not allowed to use anything you write previously (or use backdated chapters) as your entry.

To compete as a Warrior you must begin during Week One. Any time after that you can join as a Rogue.
But I really like the project I'm working on now.
If you want to continue a project you're already working on then you can join the contest as a Rogue.
Does quality matter?
Your work doesn't have to be edited or polished. As long as it looks vaguely like a story of coherent sentences, it's fine.

Real Life obligations happen to the best of us. If you know you're going to be without internet access then give at least two weeks notice, and depending on the circumstance you may be able to submit your chapter early.
Can I change my MC's names?
Sure! As long as you're still working on the same novel it's fine. Mention it in your post though so your readers don't get confused.
Does drawing count as writing?
Any artwork you do won't affect the contest, so you can draw up any character sketches you want before the start date, and even though a picture is worth more than a thousand words, it isn't actually a thousand words.
Can I write a chapter in advance if inspiration hits?
Our minds don't always like us to write chronologically. If you really feel the need to skip ahead and write a chapter in advance, try to resist. There's nothing stopping you from making rough notes about what will happen in the chapter.
What if I change my mind about something that happened?
If you feel that you've changed your mind and you want to edit something that happened previously, you're free to do so as you wish, but you must still post a new chapter from the point you're at in the story.

How to include NaNo in this? Seeing as NaNo starts on the 1st, and I fully plan to start my novel then, is it okay if the novel is already started on the 13th, or do we have to start it on the 13th?

You have to start on the 13th. LMS is only a chapter a week, so it probably wouldn't be practical for doing as a Nano thing anyway. You could go Rogue with me, in which case you can use your Nano and set your own target each week. Or you could start a different project, since it would only add an extra 800 words per week onto the amount you have to do for Nano.
It's up to you =] But to join as a Warrior it can't start before the 13th. -
Hmmm. I'll probably start a different project for LMS then! Not like I won't have 13 days after my exams to plot ^^

It officially lasts until there's only one person left, however long that may be. Round 1 lasted an incredible 64 weeks.
You can outline and plan as much as you like, including map sketches, character sheets, e.c.t. -
Question: Can I work on something I already started? I have chapter one of a novel already, but I would really like to work on it.

It has to be one that you haven't started writing yet. You can still work on that as well as LMS, since you've still got another month to plan.

If you want to join as a Warrior you have to sign up by the 13th, which is when you're allowed to start writing. As a Rogue you can join any time.
Your project can be as long or as short as you want, but to stay in the contest you must be working on the same project each week. So, you could work on a complete novel, or a series of novellas as long as they're part of the same work. -
And, if I have to drop out for any reason, do I PM you?

I think I already know the question to this, Tenyo, but I'll ask to make sure. You mentioned it has to be a new project.... Does it have to be completely new, or can it be a re-write? I have a book with about nine chapters I'd like to re-do.
Something tells me I have to do a new one, though. xd -

@Tenyo -shi, is it okay if I rewrite my current project, Mishaps of an Overlord? It's only a rewrite in name... I'm only taking the name of the novel and some attributes of the two main characters. The lack of plot and the rest of the things will be pretty much completely different. -

Never apologise for asking too many questions =] If you're stuggling you can always post in the forum or pm me for advice. I'd recommend doing that first, but otherwise if you really need to drop out you're not obligated to inform anyone.
