   With Season 4 finally arriving, there is some discussion to be had, especially

   is Mary really dead?

   
   I figured having a dedicated thread for this would help prevent spoilers for those who haven't seen it yet.
   
   Any thoughts? Theories?

   Okay not to hate on the show (I still enjoy t) but tbh i think the writers have lost their touch a bit. The mystery didn't feel as important and that's what sherlock is all about- solving mysteries.

   I agree with @ChocolateCello. Too much Mary. I absolutely loved Eurus though. The Holmes siblings are the best characters in the entire show. I really hope Season 5 happens, even if Benedict and Martin as close friends as they seemed. Maybe something could happen with Rosie all grown up. And, of course, we need canon Johnlock and Mystrade. I will not be satisfied until at least Johnlock is fulfilled.

   I wanted more post-mortem Moriarty. I know Euros and Moriarty collaborated on the whole let's-torture-Sherlock thing, but I don't feel like there was enough of him. And when he plastered his face on every screen everywhere, I expected more of a global or national problem to happen. I didn't have a problem with the abundance of Mary, but episode 2 got really dark. I like Eurus, and I wasn't expecting the morbid Redbeard twist, but I wanted to have more Moriarty, is my main complaint.

   I loved Eurus, and when Mycroft did the whole reverse psychology thing with the choice to shoot him or John......I wanted to cry.

   That broke me because he's my favorite character and Mystrade is my OTP.
   Speaking of which, there was a little Mystrade moment towards the end when Sherlock was talking to Lestrade about taking care of his brother. Gatiss and Moffat are so mean. And when Johnlock wasn't confirmed! UGH!
