Gather around my dear folks, sit here in this cool glade in the midst of my warm and welcoming medieval clearing to enjoy the thrilling and daring tale of the origin of Pruno.It all started on a lovely spring evening, and if I may say, it was very lovely indeed. Now two dashing musketeers by the names of Alvarin and Blackwood were enjoying themselves as they exchanged pleasantries and discussion over their serial entries for Paracosm's serial challenge.
The discussion went along the lines of the following as the two sat sharpening their bows and eating tea.
Alvarin said, "My good patron, are you aware that my story involves the use of a nix?"
"Why that does indeed sound delightful" Proclaims Blackwood. "Must I ask for its definition Madame?"
"Why a Nix is a river spirit, whom plays the Violin to lure unsuspecting people such as myself, into their watery graves with its beautiful music."
"Well I do say that does sound rather gory my dear Alvarin. I do hope that this nix knows how to play the violin properly, it would take at least eight years to have it sounding that good.
"Why of course it knows how to play the violin properly, Blackwood"
"I think it would sound rather horrible, being in the river and all. A wet violin would not make a pleasant sound.
"Well it is a magic Violin, Blackwood."
"But still it would be a horrible tone if it was saturated..."
"Do you not understand the term Magic Violin."
"No I do not..."
There was an awkward pause as time was fast forwarded to a more pleasant hour.
"I say, Alvarin, do you know what 'Nix' reminds me of?" Blackwood exclaimed.
"No what is it most handsome and charming one?" Came the reply.
"A nix hound!"

However when Alvarin clicked the link of a nix hound something magical an remarkable happened. The link suddenly redirected Alvarin every time. The random redirection landed on this link.

After some confusion on the nix hound being a 'purple dude' or a 'monster thing' it was settled that the purple dude had appeared to us not by chance, but by fate.
And that is how he came to be.
The origin of the name of Pruno is a much more simple matter.
The charming and amazing one, Blackwood, was speaking with the minion by the name of Manisha.
"We should name him" Manisha said in response to the purple dude.
"Lets call him Fontana!"
"No!" Objected Blackwood instantaneously, "That is the name of a milk factory! I suggest we call him Pruno. Why Because it's like the name Bruno but with prunes for purple."
"That is an amazing idea most esteemed and noble one!" Manisha said, looking at Blackwood with awe.
And so Pruno was born.
