Oscar Predictions

9 posts in this topic.

  1. Its almost Oscars, so I guess its the right time to guess the main eight categories. We all have our opinions, so I guess this is the forum to put your main predictions.

Best Actor: Matthew Mc-however you spell his name (DBC)
2nd most likely to win it: Bruce Dern (Nebraska)
    3rd: Chiwetel Ejafor (12 Years)

Best Actress: Cate Blanchett (Blue Jasmine)
2nd: No one else has a chance at winning this category

Best Supporting Actress: June Squibb (Nebraska)
    2nd: Jennifer Lawrence (American Hustle)
3rd: Julia Roberts (August: Osage County)

Best Supporting Actor: Jared Leto (Dallas Buyers Club)
I don't think anyone else has a chance at this category

    Best Picture: American Hustle
    12 Years A Slave
    Her

Best Director: Alexander Payne (Nebraska)- Alfonso *Insert correct spelling here*-Gravity
    2nd: Martin Scorsese

    Best Original Screenplay: Her
No one else has a chance at getting this. This is an amazing screenplay. Tied with the best in the last 10 years (Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind)

Best Adapted Screenplay: The Wolf of Wall Street
    No one else
  2. I'm surprised American Hustle could—and very well might—win Best Picture. I haven't seen it myself so I don't have an opinion, but everyone I know that has seen it says it's a discombobulated, confusing mess and the only saving grace are the actors. *shrugs*

Nice predictions, though. I'm so excited for the Oscars! I just wish I had seen more of these films so I could assemble a list of predictions myself...
  3. Its better than most films. Extremely smart
  4. HUSTLE WILL WIN
  5. I believe that Bad Grandpa should win every category. Even the ones it isn't even nominated for. It was clearly the smartest, funniest, most heart-wrenching movie of the year.
  6. I'm gonna slap you.
  7. Me or Gringo?
  8. @Birkhoff

Why do you deny our lord Johnny Knoxville from receiving the praise he deserves?
  9. Though Bad Grandpa was weirdly enough an okay movie, giving it oscar praise is absurd.

The nomination it has for makeup is strange. I thought it looked very fake.
