  1. Hello Squills Fans,

Welcome to my author page. This will be where I have all of the stuff that you probably never wanted to know, and mostly I'll use it for discussing ideas, talking about what I'm doing with my columns, and getting suggestions from you, my audience. Think of it like a suggestion box with feedback. To start out, I thought I'd give you some information about myself.

    Joined Squills: July 2014

Because: I wanted to write articles that were shorter than the novels I've put together for the Knowledge Base. I wrote a lot of poetry articles, or had an idea for a lot of them, and I wanted to present them in a quicker manner, so I came up with the idea to talk about "my two cents" on things, which became Two Cents.

Writing Preferences: I actually prefer to write interviews. I love to explore what other people think and why, so I do that with my interviews. I like to write informational things too, like Poetry Poppers, or my articles where I cover news, but mostly I like doing interviews.

General Information: I'm old. Yeah. I've got a Bachelor's Degree in English specialized in writing, and I work a job. I'm a tutor for the school system actually. I am still on Young writers society because I like helping people mature in their writing process and critiquing. YWS is really the best place for getting and writing critiques because people expect them, and enjoy getting them. Other places, that's not always the case.
    I became:

    YWS member May 2010
    Featured Member May 2013
    JM in May 2014,
    GM in January of 2017,
Editor of Squills in January of 2017
Editor in Chief of Squills in January 2018

Anyway, aside from that, I love dogs, cats, foxes, and video games. I have an obsession with one video game called Fantasy Life which is to die for. I'm a Poetry mod so I love everything poetry, but I do dabble in the other arts. I've got some books published on amazon, but I don't like admitting what ones to YWS because they have my real name, and safety is a thing.

Lastly, I've been diagnosed with hemochromatosis which I couldn't even say when I found out what it was, and that's been wrecking it's own little storm on my life. But yeah, that's a bit about me and my YWSness.

The columns that I run are plenty, so let me make a list for you. These aren't all exclusively mine, but here are all of the ones I've done or am doing.

    • Two Cents
    • Poetry Poppers
    • News [Real news to YWS]
    • Calendar [YWS events news]
    • Hot Seat [Literary Spotlight Interviews]
    • Featured Member Interviews

As I add new columns to my repertoire I'll add them to this list.

If you have any questions, suggestions, comments, thoughts, or anything, I'd love to have them in this column.
  2. I'd like to do a Poetry Poppers, any suggestions about who you'd like to see info on?
  3. Ooh, um, maybe William Blake? Or Mary Oliver. I’ve read poems by both of them this year in my English class and would love to know more about them :)
  4. Mm, I think I've read some William Blake but I don't know much about him, so perfect XD I know even less about Mary Oliver and it might be nice to do another woman. Hmmmmmmm choices choices...
  5. Lol well maybe one for this week, and the next in a couple weeks? Sorry to give you too many options XD. Either poet sounds great!

There is nothing more radical or counter-cultural, at the moment, than laying down one’s cynicism in favour of tender vulnerability.
