Another thing that might help them out, is if you have a "Will Review For Food Thread" then post that there. New members like reviews, so giving them a place where they know asking is welcomed makes them feel warm and fuzzy inside.

I think we should advise they post in the welcome mat. It's a gret way for people to say hi to the club themselves. Also remember to always be original! Compliment them on their username, be friendly. We're not automatic so no need for the exact same message for everyone. It most likely would not be as appreciated. : ) And I think everyones mentioned the important stuff. Also, you could send them the list below with the different JMs and GMs and their positions. It's on the bottom of the page where 'memberlist' is, it's called 'YWS Team'.

You can get together a in-place post for all, which introduces the SITE a bit. -
You can also mention how lovelyy their avatar is if it is lovely... recently I just love the avatars...
