Camp 2016: God is Out on Business

2 posts in this topic.

  1. An anthology I'm making, because I have way too many religious prompts that need to be in an anthology.

Short descriptions of all the short stories involved:

    Saints and Sinners

-Ashes of Eden: a schizophrenic misotheist tries to get rid of his faith by attempting to burn down a church. The key here is 'attempting to'.

-Flames of Hell: a young girl finds that arson is a religious experience.

-Smokes of Heaven: a priest contemplates suicide after the death of his adopted son.

    Angels & Demons

-Old Love: the fallen angel Raphael tries to convince his old friend, the archangel Michael, to stay on Earth with him.

-Ageless Indifference: Gabriel is bothered by the sudden disappearance of God, visiting Lucifer to talk about it.

-Young Hate: Two angels guarding the Gates of Hell get into an ideological argument.

    Gods and Men

-The Good Get Happy Endings, We Don't Get Endings At All: an immortal prophet meets with God in a pub every ten years, and drunkenly calls the old man upstairs out.

-Perfume Doesn't Hide the Smell of Fallibility: A young woman obsessed with physical perfection turns to God for beauty tips.

-God is Out on Business: the last prophet to see God before He disappeared, an old Asian albino, tells the story of the Man Who the World Didn't Want.
  2. Day One

Finished the first two, starting Smokes of Heaven soon enough. Thinking of editting Flames of Hell when I'm done with this.
