As writers, it is our job to create characters who elicit emotions from the reader: love, hate, disgust, triumph, etc...but a character will never amount to anything if the writer doesn't feel the same way.
So. Which character of your own creation is your favorite, and why?

Oh goodness that is certainly a hard question. I love all my characters and I try not to choose favorites because they are like my children (and you don't do that with children).
But I often go through a phase that has me focus much on one (or more) character and they are, briefly, a favorite of mine.
Currently it is a tie between two characters of mine: Nadette Williams and Iaao Velkur.
Both are from separate stories, but they are both very interesting to me.
I love Nadette for her independence, her courage, and her bold behavior. You stay on her good side and if you get on her nerves, expect to get an earful or watch her back as she walks away from you. She isn't rash (at least, not anymore) and will carefully look over a problem before deciding what to do and I admire that in her as most people around her seem to do the opposite.
Iaao is amazing because he is strong willed and a survivor. Despite being in plenty of depressing or bad situations, he has pulled through and does his best to focus on the present and future in a light as positive as he can make it. He is intelligent and calculating and certainly a good friend to have around if you can get him to warm up to you.
Of course, this is naming my characters' good traits and what I love about them. This doesn't say anything about the bad that they have just like every normal being. -
Victor. One of my secondary villains, more power then a mook and less than a big bad, he's actually pretty helpful to the heroes in my novel. Maybe because he's related to two of them, but he actually regrets almost killing one of them. And it's so sweet but sad when he totally flips out because his wife, a hostage and the reason he's evil, is dead and he thought she was alive all those years...I feel like crying because his twin brother, a hero-ish character, is in the same situation with his grilfriend and Victor helps him save her, but dies in the process, and...oh, now i want to cry.

My favorite character, hmmm. That's a tough question lol. I have three I suppose. Rahasya Vega and my current plot's twins, Alyssia and Alyssa. Rahasya because she's determined to fight her own grandfather in order to save their planet.
The twins because they each have different personalities but are remarkably similar. Despite being rescued, they struggle to find what happened to them and why. It's a sad story that I'm still working on. -
That's a nice question. My favorite have been both maybe because they first started as an extra and I'm amazed at how they developed through the years.
My favorite would be the Romanov brothers. The older one, Sergei, is known for his serious and authoritative aura (being a businessman), backed up with his observational skills. But other than that I also love his fatal flaws like being paranoid on the intentions of other people, which result in him being high on his guard always. But beneath all of that he has a childish trait of collecting fantasy related things. He's also kind deep down but doesn't know how to properly convey them which sometimes freaks people out.
His younger brother, Chmil, meanwhile has a more friendly exterior but shy persona. Has a loyal disposition when it comes to the aspect of friendship, he sometimes show his immature and stubborn side as well (which always results into an argument with his brother). He is still struggling on becoming responsible and being mature by being accountable on his actions.
The two of them are too different that they just might compliment each other.
