Character Interview: Malvis

56 posts in this topic.

  1. Malvis paces while waiting for the interviewer to arrive. Her deep red hair brushes against the top of her shoulders as she fidgets with a piece of twine around her neck. Her Victorian-style dress swished as she moved. One would assume she was around her mid-twenties but slightly underfed. Poor too, with the holes and tears in her skirt.
  2. The Interviewer arrived, seeming unprepared to do his job.
he ask her "What is your name again?" while sorting through papers.
  3. "Malvis." She turned to the interviewer, eyes narrowed. She sized him up. Smiling slightly to herself, her hair grew past her shoulders, reaching about her midback.
  4. "What is your name?'
  5. "My name is Malvis. Are you waiting for a last name because you're going to be waiting for a long time if that's the case." She crossed her arms, staring indignantly at the interviewer.
  6. The Interviewer now seeming to have figured out what his job was adopted a more official demeanor.

"Very well if you have no last name i shall assume you are a Jane Doe."
the interviewer retorted while writing something down.
"Now would you please tell me a bit about yourself?" he said in a notably more charming tone.
  7. Malvis grumbled to herself before putting on a big smile.
"I grew up in The Mist with my parents and three younger siblings. My birth parents, Shamara and Abir, went missing when I was eleven. They had gone to find out how to make me an Illusionist to be who I truly am. They never returned and sent everything by messenger pigeon."
Her hair turned strawberry blonde for just a moment before going back to deep red.
"But, it's fine. I thank them every day. They're remembered. Besides, if they never left, I wouldn't be myself. I'm sure they don't regret it either."
  8. The interviewer seemed caught off guard by Malvis's sudden cooperation.
He struggled to write it all down at first but was then dazed by
[A TRICK OF THE LIGHT] on her hair which briefly made it appear to be a lighter color.

The interviewer reset himself and quickly resumed his official demeanor.
The interviewer looked at his papers.
"What is your greatest Strength?" he asked uniformly.
  9. She seemed so still, staring at him.

"Greatest strength? Depends on the situation. I know when someone's lying to me. So, I'm never betrayed. I can size up an opponent. Don't worry, though; I know how to mind my manners. I can fight, too, though."

Her smile seemed almost sinister, a warning more than a gesture.
  10. The interviewer blinked rapidly as if something was in his eyes.
The interviewer then looked at his papers as if he had already forgotten
    His Job, again.

Then the interviewer took a deep breath.
"What do you consider to be your Greatest weakness?" he asked uniformly still starring at his papers, but after he looked up and saw her face he [UNNECESSARILY] added.
"If you have a greatest weakness, i mean"
  11. She chuckled, lacing her fingers together. The first time she had moved since the interviewer had started speaking to her.

"Now, what would I gain from telling you that?"

The roots of her turned ginger, the new colour only making it to her ears before it vanished.
  12. The Interviewer closed his eyes.
    The Interviewer opened his eyes.
"The thing you will gain from telling me that"
The interviewer paused because once again he FORGOT HIS JOB.
"You will be given further chances opportunity to answer questions." he finally retorted as after a 30 second pause. it was as if he was being forced awake by a Cocks crow.

"The question after 'What is your greatest weakness?' is 'What is your greatest achievement?' you want to answer that question. Right?"
  13. She tilted her head ever so slighty.

"And we can't just skip to that one right now? Is someone going to shoot you if you skip a question?"
  14. The Interviewers face seemed to sink into a sadden expression.
THE INTERVIEWER BLINKED, his expression was cheerful.
"Very well if you insist we may skip that question" He declared in a Charming tone.
"What would you say is your greatest achievement?" He said uniformly while returning to an awkward demeanor.
  15. She clicked her tongue.

"Well, I did manage to successfully rob a house on the Street of Kings without dying. Alone as well."

Humming to herself, she crossed her legs.

"Though, I'm sure you don't know what that is."
