This is not a discussion I want to get involved in, because clearly we don't share the same views on "love" and relationships. But can you people please make a club for this sort of thing? If you have already, then ignore the derp. But really, not all of YWS really cares about your relationships or heartbreaks or whatever.

Age is but a number. At the age of 13, which I proudly am as well, it is not the person, rather the maturity. In some families and lifestyles, like the one I behold, it is not frowned upon to be in a relationship at an early age. So I do feel rather offend by your comment. Get a puppy? They are cute and all, but really? I thought we were all equal! But anyway, yeah, just my opinion, love it or hate it, I don't mind :L -

It's not about age or relative maturity or even cultural acceptance that's relevant here when it comes to relationships at such an age. Frances's comment was rather blunt, I agree, but I see the point he was trying to make. When you're 13, or even just a teenager, you are not of the emotional maturity to experience an emotion of such magnitude as love, at least in a non-platonic way. The teen and preteen years are when people undergo the most changes and trials, and we gradually become mature enough to handle or even experience true love.
I'm pretty young and I've felt love, but not in the sense that you refer to. I've felt love for my brothers and parents, and while you may say that that's different, I do love them and that feeling is most definitely complicated, inexplicable and impossible to remove. My brothers can do whatever they want to me, and I will be upset but I can never hold that against them or resent them for it. They make me want to tear out my hair and wreck something, yet I can't live without them and be truly happy. I don't know what you relationship and romance-obsessed people would say to that, but it sounds like love to me. -
Who says I am obsessed? At an age such as 13, your rather right about love. I love my family, well.. most of it anyway. What I feel around ceartin people is more like than love. I guess it really just bases itself upon if your strong enough to hold onto that like. So I am just going to be my immature self and stick to what I have. Love, and like.
