Once upon a time, I offered in my signature to review people; all they had to do was PM me with their request. Quickly did my inbox fill with requests, and oftentimes were these requests for multiple reviews. And so it came to pass that I got overwhelmed by all the requests and so deleted the offer from my signature. But the PMs kept coming, and so I, staring balefully at my inbox, thus decided to make a thread in this here forum so that I could at least keep track of everyone's requests (and thus preserve my meager sanity).

Rules

Do not request more than two works at a time. Especially if one of the works is a full novel/novella.

Do not request I review a work that falls under my "Will NOT Review" category. I will not review it.

Please do provide a link to the work(s) you want me to review. I will not fish around in your portfolio to find them.

Please tell me the category your work is (poetry, novel, short story, etc.) and the genre(s).

A reply to my review (in whatever form you choose) is required if you want to make more than one request. I take a long time to write up in-depth reviews, and if it seems as if someone does not appreciate them, I do not review that person again.

Important Notes

Unless you specifically request I review by a particular time, I will get around to reviewing whenever I get around to reviewing. Just be aware that requesting a particular time for me to review by might result in me rejecting your request.

While I place priority on works that are posted on YWS, I do also provide feedback on works privately. If you are interested in having me beta read something you don't want to publicly post, let me know and we can discuss terms.

At all times do I reserve the right to reject your request for no apparent reason.

Preferred Genres

Fantasy
Mythology
Science-Fiction
Nonfiction

Neutral Genres

Action/Adventure
General Fiction
Historical Fiction
Horror
Supernatural

Unfavorite Genres

Fanfiction
Romance

I WILL Review

Poetry
Lyrics (1)
All Forms of Nonfiction
Short Stories
Novels and Novellas (2)
Art and Photography
Other

I WILL NOT Review

Fanfiction (3)
Stories with explicit sex scenes
Works that are not proofread

I MAY Review

Scripts (4)

Footnotes

(1) In general, I will critique lyrics as if they were poetry. I will be slightly more lenient with regards to repetition and imagery, but otherwise, I see no reason why lyrics should get an easy pass just because they're lacking their musical accompaniment.

(2) If you request me to review your entire novel/novella, unless you specifically ask I do so, I will not do a chapter-by-chapter. Instead, I will leave an overall review on the novel/novella's latest chapter.

(3) The only exception is if I am familiar with the fandom and enjoy reading fanfiction in said fandom.

(4) If you ask me really nicely. Just don't expect any great feedback; I'm not very familiar with scripts.

Hey Kyllorac.
I would love a review on this piece of mine: Love Has No Boundaries.
Don't please turn it down by seeing its title...its not Romance! Its based on an Indian Social issue.I would be posting its next chapter by tonight. So if you see it then please, please review that also.

Thanks in advance! :D

Hi there!
I've written a general short story, although it (kinda) has some fantasy aspects in it. I'd be really grateful and I'd trade my first born child if you could review this for me. =)

And I am finished. Your story was an absolute joy to read, by the way.

Could you review Chapter 2 of my Historical Fiction Novel, Into the Depths, for me? Here's the link.

Hi. Would you please read and review my Specters of Verity Square intro? The link is in my signature. It's a little short but I'm hoping to expand one day.

Thanks in advance!

SilverSharpie, I can't see your signature. If you could just copy-past the URL of your piece into a post, it'll automatically make a link for you.

Hello, Kyllorac.
I was wondering if you would review my two pieces, 'Sunscreen', and 'Foreign Bloom'. They can both be found in my portfolio. I understand if you do not have the time to do so, but know that I would greatly appreciate your thoughts and criticism.
Thank you for your time.
