Ever heard about him ?
I've read : the man who fell in love with the moon, in french. If I can find a Spabauer's book in English I'll buy it, it seems to be still better in original version.
Scene takes place in the end of the XIXth century, in Idaho. The main character "in-the-hut" is a male prostitute. I don't remember exactly the story but I remember one about this book : it is at the same time harrowing, simple, crude, free and naïve. Spanbauer reach being chocking and poetic.
He's written "In the city of shy hunters" and "Now is the hour" too.
