I arose to the sun shining in through my window. I rubbed my eyes so the blur in them can go away. I lifted my heavy tired head to look around. His face was beautiful laying on my pillow with one hand reaching out for me. He opened his eyes and smiled a leaned forward to kiss me. He did so in a manner that felt so loving and full of compassion. As soon as he pulled his lips away he caressed my hair and I knew my hair was an awful wreck. I hopped off my bed with the blankets so he wouldn’t catch a peek of my nude butt. Even though he has seen it before, I just like to cover myself once in awhile.

I looked back at him and noticed he was completely naked and was fine with it. I felt the blood rushing to my cheeks. I looked away quickly and looked in the mirror. I was right, my hair was a wreck. I looked at the clock to make sure my mom wasn’t up. It was 9am; she had already left for work at 7. So I got some cloths out of my closet and grabbed some underwear to take a shower. When I went to the bathroom across the hall I noticed his cloths were on the toilet seat. I wasn’t about to take a shower with him too after last night. So I casually picked his cloths up off the toilet seat and tossed them toward my room floor. I bet he would get a kick out of that.

I turned the water on and jumped in the shower. Like always I checked myself to make sure he didn’t bite me after the night we had. He usually bit me but I never noticed it till the next morning. But this time I was clear of any marks on my skin at all. Vampires don’t change you if they bite you. People misunderstand that all the time; I did too at one time. He explained to me one day that he can only change someone if they drink his blood after he bit them. So I was relieved.

While in the shower thoughts of Alex were running through my mind.

Flashes of his short shaggy light brown hair, his green brown eyes, and his strong face were going through my mind. He could pass off as a celebrity with his good looks. I have no idea why he is interested in me; he could do so much better. Whenever I would touch his face it felt as though I was touching a baby’s bottom. Alex also had special powers. He would know all the steps your about to make before you make them. He could hear a pin drop from miles away. He never explained all his talents with me; I never wanted to know.

I wonder if he knew what I was doing at this moment or if he knew what I was thinking. Even though his talents kind of freaked me out, I still loved him with all of my heart. I hope he loves me the same. I came out the shower about half an hour after I went in. After I dried off I went to my room to do my hair. I seriously need to buy some new products if I want to get these knots out. Alex wasn’t on my bed like I had expected. Instead I found a note sitting on my bed.

I went home to take care of some things. Demitri called. We will talk about it later. Call as soon as you’re done reading this! I’m so sorry I wasn’t able to say good bye. But remember I love you.
