Feeling gone and alone
Under the water, where I cannot breathe
Something inside me
Festering, growing, infecting
I am unable to move
Feelings of pain
Of anger
And of depression
Surge though me
as though everything is disappearing
I can't hear anything
Someone calls my name
But I cannot hear
Painting the smile
On my face
And walking away
Like nothing is happening
When in reality,
everything is happening
I attempt to make light conversation
But nothing comes out
Instead I feel awkward
And they are laughing at me
Gawking, making me feel just so good
Or, not
Really, they couldn't make me feel worse
My friends try to help
Remembering all I lost
But they can't give me back
What was gone before
Has not come back
And I know that it won't
I can still hope though
I am lost and lonely
Although I have so many with me
Friends, people to care about
Ones that won't hate me
But I am still lost and alone
For they do not know
What I've lost
I don't have to brag
For there is nothing to brag about
I have nothing
I am nothing
Everything here, to me, is nothing
I am lost
Afraid and alone
But one day
I will overcome this
These feelings of being alone
Of being lost
But for now,
I will have to deal with them
Till that one day
I overcome
Then I will not be lost anymore
