I AM AN INDIAN....
Welcome to my India..... A country which is the home to more than 125 cr of peoples. But , do u know , the uniqueness of my nation that out of these 125 cr people, 120 cr are either rightist or leftist or belong from some other group first and then they are Indians...
My country is great. Here , it is of no surprise the dominance of one aspect of a profile of a person on other .
Are u not getting it ?
Take for instance, Amir khan. Who is he?
An Indian , an actor , a social worker or the one who belongs from a particular community.
My friend , now a day's, his religion profile has surpassed every aspects of his personality, owing to the support of his supporters and protestors.
But mind u , my country was great , is great and will remain great.
Ooo! U want me to show the evidences to prove it..OK , OK
In my India , a God creature get murdered by a self claimed group of visionary armed protectors of everyone's mother, and u know what , we have no problem with it .So civilised , peace loving and ofcourse tolerant people we are..
Does this happen in Ur nation ? No , na. So we are ....
Ooh , so u want more strong evidences , hmm ...... OK , ok ..
In my country , riots occur every year in bulk quantity , but u know , how do we tackle it? We go back in time and inspect the number and intensity of the previous massacre and we compare it with the present one, and then we play a game , blame game that X was responsible in 1984 and y was responsible in 2002 for those acts and so Z has the right to be responsible for a massacre in 2015.
Yes bro , we love equality and we love and repeat our history every year with same courage and logic and boast of the Great India , that we live in..
I got it this time brother . Why r u raising Ur eyebrows on the word equality ? We give equal rights to everyone. Let me elaborate........
Do u know Rohit Vemula ? Yes , the new love of TV anchors nowadays. Even he was a dalit student , but we being the ardent supporter of equality gave him the right to suicide .And not that all, we also made him famous nationwide after his death.
This is the incredibility of my nation , that we make even the dead people famous and we always debate on someone's death only.
It is interesting now , knowing about my great nation. Let me tell few more things about my country.
There r 365 days in an year. But we r busy guys and professionals too. We have chosen one or two particular days in an year to show our patriotism. And u want to know about the method, how we show it.
Ah! It is also very unique, unlike u people from developed countries who work day in and day out for the betterment of Ur immediate individual alongwith Ur family and nation, we post status on Facebook and whatsapp and give proof of our patriotism. We sing our national anthem , hoist our beloved Tiranga, but u can find that beloved Tiranga in a garbage heap also on other days of the year.
Isn't it awesome? I said na yaar, India is great ... U can't match us.
Also those who couldn't hoist flag or post fb status on Republic Day r not considered patriotic. How can they behold the love for the country ? Inspite of striving hard to do something better, if u r not posting status or hoisting flag , u can't be an Indian.
We generally suggest them to go to some particular part of undivided India, likewise ..........u got it
India is India yaar....
In my beloved nation , everyone is a judge and u can find everywhere people judging someone. This is the reason we have such a strong judiciary which in its history has never taken more than 60 years to solve any case.
In the great diversity that my country beholds, one thing unites u and that is politics. Here , everyone is politician. Either u r against the PM or in the favour of him , either u r in the favour of CM , or against him/her.
Why r u surprised yaar? We have a large pool of 120 cr politicians and this is the reason why we practise such a healthy democracy.
U know why I am conversing with u and not my fellow countrymen?
No , okay I will tell u...
Actually when I will tell these things to my countrymen , they will ask my religion , my background , my foreground and what not, except one thing...... my country.... bcz they have forgotten that I m an Indian along with he or she..
But u will just ask my nation and I m very proud to answer that bcz I AM AN INDIAN..

I will start out by saying that I am surprised how similar India is to America...at least to me, from what you have written.
The political debate, the religious debate, the shallow sense of patriotism.
These issues must simply be human issues, and it makes me a little sad to think that where ever I go, even to a place as far away and exotic as india, people are still arguing about the same things. Just maybe in a different way.
Of course, in America riots are not common(but they happen), and no one is seen as less of a person because of their birth(except by a few ignorant people), but the similarity is there.
I guess people are people where ever you go.
Next, I will say that your grammar needs a little tweeking in order for your ideas to be clearer. I take it English is not your first language, and that is okay. It's good for the way you speak to show through in your writing, as long as people can clearly follow your ideas.
For example:
Welcome to my India..... A country which is the home to more than 125 cr of peoples. But , do u know , the uniqueness of my nation that out of these 125 cr people, 120 cr are either rightist or leftist or belong from some other group first and then they are Indians...
Would be easier to understand like this:
Welcome to my India... A country which is home to more that 124 cr (cr is not a numeric amount I understand) of peoples. But, do you know, the uniqueness of my nation? That out of these 125 cr people, 120 are either rightist, or leftist, or belong to some other group first before they are Indians?
Another Example:
In my country, riots occur every year in bulk quantity , but u know , how do we tackle it? We go back in time and inspect the number and intensity of the previous massacre and we compare it with the present one, and then we play a game , blame game that X was responsible in 1984 and y was responsible in 2002 for those acts and so Z has the right to be responsible for a massacre in 2015.
It would be a little easier to understand if it was written like this:
In my country, riots occur every year in bulk quantity, but how do we tackle it? We go back in time, and inspect the number, and the intensity of the previous massacre. We compare it with the present one, and then we play a game. The blame game. That X was responsible in 1984, and Y was responsible in 2002, and so Z has the right to be responsible for a massacre in 2015.
In short, you need to study sentence structure. Especially when it comes down to where to end a sentence so that it isn't a run-on.
Beyond that. It was a really great essay. Thank you for sharing a picture of your country. ^.^

Hi!
I've always wondered about the Indian culture, seeing and reading about different things about the wonderful country it is. However, I feel your essay doesn't convey the feeling of information or entertaining. Upon reading this, I've noticed some mistakes with grammar and spelling, which I am assuming English is your second language? In any sense, try explaining more about what makes, to you, India a great country. The people? The history? Make the reader want to understand your reasoning behind it.
Make a hook for your essay. The most important thing of an essay, in my opinion, would be the hook/claim. In the beginning, you bring out the main issue you are planning to explain or elaborate upon. That way the reader will completely understand where you are going or else they'll leave the essay confused and unaware. I think the reader should be left with some facts or something new they wouldn't expect.
My teacher told me once that an essay should have something new within that you'll never expect to come at you without the use of the internet. It'll come from someone who knows it better than you wish. In other words, think before you write. Plan ahead when writing an essay. Make sure it has something worth reading.

hey there,

SPEECHLESS- well thats what I'm right now your poem its just so amazing I really am in need of better vocabulary to describe it...
I really can feel the anger with which you wrote this poem. i mean INDIA is a great country *or atleast it was considered once* our countrymen the are bulls**ts really they are just fat people and want to have more and more money... and when it comes to religious riots well I really cannot say anything about it because if i open my mouth then this page is gonna fill with s***.
India once was considered a golden bird but what will we call it now a raven? because its just filled with so many unhealthy minds. god i really wanna punish each and every person who has ever tried to dilute the purity of India. I mean is it too hard to just be human?
And when it comes to politicians, well they are just a bunch of people who can lie with a straight face !!! And when it comes to citizens like amir khan, I get so frustrated !!!
anyway enough of my babling...
you did a fantastic job in writing this. I really am shocked by the way you could summon this so easily in just a few lines. i like the x-y-z concept you used. the way you communicated throghout the poem was also a remarkable thing.
"Actually when I will tell these things to my countrymen , they will ask my religion , my background , my foreground and what not, except one thing...... my country.... bcz they have forgotten that I m an Indian along with he or she.."
these were the lines i loved the most in this entire poem.
and the Best part is that inspite of all these shitty things you are proud of being an INDIAN!!
Fangirl~
P.S- in case you have any doubt I'm an indian and a proud one
A very nice way to get people acquainted about what's going wrong in their country . A highly sarcastic way of bringing the burning topics into the thinking stream of the masses. The writer has combined his literary skills with his observatory experiences to create a master piece for the readers.
I will strongly suggest everyone to go through this article .It will make you stop and rethink over what's going wrong in your nation.
A great knife edged sarcasm on current status of our country , India
