Why won’t you just let me go?
Without each other we’ll be fine.
And don’t think that I don’t know,
You’ve begun to like someone else in time.
You tell me you still love me,
But I know it’s a lie.
We always seemed to disagree,
Then I always cried.
You start yelling, saying you still care,
You try to prove it to me every day.
You act like it’s your heart with the tear,
But this is the way it has to stay.
Even though a part of me misses your smile,
A bigger part of me hates your every bone.
To save your life I wouldn’t even walk a mile,
I’d much rather be alone.
Truly, what did you expect?
You never treated me right.
It’s about time I left,
But like usual you had to put up a fight.
You can’t fall for both me and her,
Just tell me how that’s fair.
And even though I want to go back to the way we were,
A part of me no longer cares.
