E - Everyone

I like to think I'm mature,

I'm above it, over it.

But I purposely didn't wish you 

Happy birthday,

With the thought of when you forgot mine, in mind,

I wanted you to hurt,

Like I did.

And when you text me tomorrow, saying, 

It was my birthday...

I'll leave you on read,

Like a sense of deja vu,

But it's nostalgia,

of just how you treated me.

Happy Birthday.

Because it looks like I'm not over it.

No, it's not that you didn't succeed. You accomplished a lot, but, if you want to touch people, don't concentrate so much on rhyme and metre. Think more about what you want to say instead of how you're saying it.
