A deep bruise sits on my neck, scraped off of my
one night lover’s tongue. Spots of blood raised to
the surface, by pursed lips, with an angry suck.
He reminds me of the moon. Large and white.
His blue howl stretches me forward
like the tide, hauls me from one side of
the earth to another.
Split me open you bastard.
He opens his mouth, wet like a cave,
and swoops down, a wave of white noise,
sinking his fangs into my chest.
