I agree with you, humans maybe are just reckless beings, but we don't have any excuses, because we know what's going on with the world. It's not a case of ignorance, but of compassion. I think that nature always prevails, I read a poem yesterday on here about nature, and how you can't undermine what it can do. Nor what humans can do. But we kill each other, our own species. If we can't even love or accept ourselves, too selfish even to look out for those of the same blood, how can we save a planet full of so many different sources of life. We have to end war. It's just like the song 'Imagine' by John Lennon. Environment and war and everything social and ecologic ties together. We can't compromise in giving people the fundamental rights that they deserve, nor ensuring the planet's safety. In a case like this, we can't have maybe or maybe not. It's only yes, let's save the planet and our species. Let's be kind and gracious and strong and compassionate. Let us thank nature for all it's given us, and people for all their power that we have inherited.
I really liked this piece
