Hello. This is my review

I’m tired. Mg phone’s low on power, and I only have a few things to say. This means that my review will be 1000 words too long.

Bad
I’ll start with grammar

Steel sculpted buggy’s, the grandparents of cars, rolled along with horns honking;

You know the drill buggy’s should be changed to buggies, nothing strenuous (can you tell I’m tired yet?)

the path less crowded than it was I daylight but twice as lively.

I believe there are are two:

1: there needs to be a ‘was’ between ‘path’ and ‘less’

2: the ‘I’ is probably supposed to be an ‘in’

Now I’ll move on to style

tentatively into the 20th century, as yet unscarred by the Great War to come.

I would suggest removing the ‘as yet’ bit after the comma. Fewer words=greater impact and memorability.

but this played no hindrance to the smooth dance of notes.

I would suggest using a word other than ‘hindrance’, I think it ruins the rhythm.

Good

It was a bright day in a new bright year in the brightening city of New York.

I like your repetition of the word ‘bright’

As always you have a knack for humor, I love the absurdity of someone in early 20th century America with AirPods. Also as someone who has actually been to New York, you’ve done a decent job of conveying how hectic it is. So you get a small nod of approval from me there.

conclusion

This is a fascinating idea and you executed it very well. I like the idea of time travel and I like queen but I would never have thought to put the two together. This was strange and very good, the prose could use a little work but other than that this is a wonderful little story. I hope to get to the rest of your work soon.

This was my review. Goodbye.

Great story, here I come to review!
I know you asked for criticism, but I apologise if any of my remarks offend you in any way. I'm only attempting to help you.
Here I go.
The beginning is too sudden. You mentioned Cara, then right away started on what she was doing at the moment. Maybe a little more description in the beginning would have been nice.

Steel sculpted buggy’s, the grandparents of cars, rolled along with horns honking; middle-aged men sat behind their wheels. All grinning like the monopoly man as their vehicles parted the crowds on the street, tipping bowler hats to silk swathed ladies as they passed.

After wheels, I think there can be a comma? The same train of thought is continued in the next line, which is weakened by the abrupt full stop.
Also, a hyphen in "silk swathed" would make it sound a little better, in my humble opinion.
I don't know for sure, but is an apostrophe really needed in "buggy's"?
They moved in a stream, an intersecting system of paths over the cobbled road

These are two different images, and I don't think they go together very well.

The air pod was a brilliant way to make the reader realise she's from the future. Great idea.

Cara paused at the street curb, her next job wasn’t until that night.

A full stop that replaces the comma might work better. Or add something else, like "Cara paused at the street curb, allowing herself to relax; her next job wasn't until that night."

“It’s a catchy tune,” said Cara, her cheeks had brightened whilst she sang.

Pointing out the same thing as before!

“The name’s Harvey, Harvey Nodds.” the man held out a hand, slim but firm from playing the violin.

Capitalize the "t" in "the"!
Also, can your hands become... Firm? Maybe a word like "calloused" would be more suitable.

catching sight of his violin case and his grinning reply.

I like this line. it's a nice image.

Twilight soon descended over the city, like a blanket unfurling over the world with a tapestry of stars pricked out on the heavy velvet.

Again, clashing images! Remove the tapestry and reword it and it'll be fine.

the path less crowded than it was I daylight but twice as lively.

I found a typo. I assume you meant "in".

She rose the barrel to angle down, gloom shrouding her actions, but at a violins song, sound stopped working.

"Violin's" with an apostrophe, not "violins."
Also, "sound stopped working"... Hm. I get the idea but think it can be portrayed in a different way.

Cara closed her eyes to the violins harmonies. Suppressing a rising choke, she released her own resounding ring, soon followed by a blood splatted panic.

Again, use an apostrophe in "violins".
The second line just isn't solid. "Released her ring" does seem nice, but I feel like it could be said differently.
"Splattered", not "splatted".

Okay, I'm done nitpicking!
Lovely ending. Very suitable, not too abrupt, nicely worded.
I loved the story. It was very well written, with great grammar, great spelling, and good effort. I truly enjoyed reading it.
The twist was amazing! The idea is smart, and the way you've conveyed it is wonderful. I really look forward to seeing more of your work!

Hi! The first thing is that I loved your story. It's really well written and your description is amazing. It really made me feel part of the story. The only negative critics would be some clarification. For example where exactly is the action taking place? I found it really confusing that you first tell us: "the nights were long in New York City" so we understand the action is happening in the US. But after your sating "Harvey let the UK hit rollout across the stage", so it's happening in England? And in the end, you say"1539, Germany". Where is the action taking place? Maybe you could explain this to me? I think this would help to have a better picture of the story. You could also tell us more about there outfits. This would also help picture the character better. Also, I found it a little strange that you have so many little paragraphs. It really is unimportant but maybe you could have a look.
I really liked your short story and there isn't any really important negative critic I can make. I enjoyed reading it and I hope you enjoyed reading my review and it helped you. :)

I'm not the writer, but I think I can clear up the little misunderstandings that you had about the location. It is happening in New York.
When the author put "Harvey let the UK hit rollout across the stage" they meant that the song was from the UK.
At the end, since the author put those little asterisks it meant that it was a time skip.

Heh, sorry if I didn%u2019t explain it very well but Shadeflame has it right
Was there anything else in particular that confused you about the setting?

No, my only confusion was about where is happening. :)
