The Worst Pain

by GoaGreena

The worst kind of pain,
the very worst kind
is the kind you don't feel at all.
The kind you can't 'walk off',
the kind no pill will help,
no doctor will rid.

It's the kind of pain
that exists in your heart,
the pain that comes with love.
The pain that aches but never bleeds,
the pain that makes you want to take
a knife and make it real.

But it's still pain.
And pain fades,
pain recedes,
pain goes away.
But love, unlike pain
will never ever cease.

Love is not your weakness,
love is your truest strength,
the pain it brings may burn like fire,
the hole may be hard to patch up
but the love will never die.

And amid that passion,
past the hurt,
burns your brightest flame,
love clouds logic, muddles the mind,
but is that such a bad thing?

The greatest pain you'll ever feel
is the loss of one you love,
the hurt of loving someone much,
but they never love you back.
The pain that comes and aches inside
and hurts until you break.

And you will break,
it cannot be stopped.
But breaking is the last.
For once you're down
the lowest you can be
the only place left to go
is up.

I don't care what the miserable excuse is for showing the death of books, live, on screen. Men, I could understand; but books! -
