The long road that I walked on
Has ended, right?
The random strangers
That I called friends,
It’s time to say goodbye.
One and a half decade ago,
I started out alone.
My eyes were wet,
Mummy carried me there.
Days came and years went by
I was a small kid and now
I’m grown up in a blink of an eye.
I watched the sun go up
And set right before me.
I’m still a kid, with a moustache, inside
But now it’s the end of line.
The long road that I walked on
Has ended, right?
I don’t expect you to remember me
When you turn twenty eight.
There were a lot of emotions hidden
Behind this expressionless face.
A lot to be said was left unsaid.
Who knows, ten years after,
I’ll walk right past you
In a crowdy street,
Unknowing it was you.
You won’t recognize me too.
You’ll have a family—wife and kids
But random memories will fill the voids.
The long road that I walked on
Has ended—there’s no road ahead,
Just open fields. Days have come and gone.
This is where I leave you friend,
Go make your own path
And I’ll make mine…
“Farewell”
