The ash
The flames
The hate
The blame
Still resonates
With pain
In our minds
In our souls
To this day

This tragic day

But we can’t hold on forever
To this grudge or else we’ll never
Find peace in forgiveness
And love in this blindness

This is not to say however
That we should forget our brothers
Who have fallen because
Evil men of which we know nothing
Decided to stop the world from breathing

For only a moment

Forgive
Remember
January
To December
They will stay in our hearts
Until our deaths in which we part
From this life

Always keep in your hearts and prayers those who died today on September 11.

You have a few words that rhyme in the poem, which is a little distracting. I like the poem, and what you're saying. It makes complete sense, and I could tell from the beginning what you're talking about. Good job. It was a tramatic experience for the nation. Thanks for showing your patriotism

I really thought that this was an interseting poem, and it was clear from the begining what you were talking about. I liked all the short descriptive linnes of key words, which have a lot of impact but dont overcloud the emotion of the piece. I agree with the above that the some rhyming some not was a little distracting. But overall this was a really nice piece

This is such a beautiful and moving poem. I appreciate the subtlety of your writing style. It allows the audience to interpret it however they may feel about it. Keep writing :D
