Spoiler
There's not much too this one other than nit-picks. :) I'd love to know your guys' thoughts, of course. With the style, for some reason I was against punctuation. Doesn't punctuation just close the case? Is the case ever closed? :D

To make something so long
So perfect
So refined

How long does an idea need to travel
Before it escapes

Sifting through the layers in our heads
Until, by the end
You can't recognize them

Why do we do this
Where does it get us

How much did we lose
When we're only this far

I've found in my poetry
It's not like a book
It's a method

Another way of thinking
I get it out
How it is
How it deserves to be

And I like it like that
So perfect
So raw
By nature, all language is flawed.

Hey! At first, I was like, whoa, this writer needs to work on punctuation. But then, I kept reading, and I understood why you chose to let it go. Sometimes its nice to just abandon the rules for a change and focus on writing what you need to say. It's quite freeing, actually. One of my favorite things to do is to crack open a spiral notebook, pick up a sharpened pencil, close my eyes, and write what I'm feeling without worrying about punctuation and grammar and sentences and all of that stuff.

I do have one suggestion. If you're going to let go of things that restrict you, like punctuation, it's a great opportunity to jump way out of the box and throw some amazing, off-the-wall details into your work. Just a suggestion. Still, I liked this piece. It was just what your title said it was going to be. Raw.

Keep writing!

Very nice work ShadowKnight :)
I could not find any spelling mistakes so good job there :)
I will say however, even though i enjoyed reading this piece, there was one verse in particular that did not seem to "Fit in", it was this :
"I've found in my poetry
It's not like a book
It's a method"
It seemed rather odd that you would add a personal addition to the poem, i mean i still loved it :D i just found it a tad strange... But maybe thats not such a bad thing ;)
Anyway, great work friend, keep it up :D

Hello!
I enjoyed your poem as it seems playful and witty at the same time, and the circular structure brings a nice effect to the reader, leading him to the overall meaning, 'so perfect' which appears twice and then, oh, it's actually 'so raw'. However, I think it would have been even better if you hadn't explicitly defined 'It's not like a book, it's a method', followed by 'another way of thinking'. If you come to think of it, Mallarme once said 'to suggest, that's the dream (ideal)'. Just a thought, anyway :)
I think the most powerful and beautiful structure is 'How long does an idea need to travel / Before it escapes". Keep writing, you have a knack for surprising fugitive ideas in the mirror of words.

I really liked this. It's exactly how I feel about poetry. I liked your use of descriptive yet powerful wordings and thought it really hit home. Only suggestion I would make is maybe add another paragraph in there. Make it more lengthy and change the word them to it. I like how you referred to it as "it." It gave it an identity y I felt.
