Sing,
I love to sing,
Day in, day out,
I open my mouth,
And out comes a note,
Straight out of my throat.

Music helps me,
It clears my head,
Or gives me ideas,
Which can be said and read.

When I sing I’m in a world,
Completely my own,
and it doesn’t really matter,
if I’m a little off tone,
cause in my heart I know,
that music is the key,
to reach my destiny.

Some edits that may or may not help you:

Also, I quite like this. I'm not too familiar with lyrical poetry, straight free verse is more my thing, but it definitely had a certain tune to it and a, well, lyrical quality. And, yes, so I don't trip over myself anymore, I shall leave this review here.

But, anyway, great job and keep at it, eh? I'd love to see more poems from you.
My SPD senses are tingling.

Hey Its Giselle
Just wanted to comment on your poem, which by the way is really good. Singing help let a person let out all their emotions.
Keep up the good work ;D

I love the rhyme scheme you have set up. I like the simplicity of the poem. It conveys such a deep and personal thing you like to do and makes it clear. Singing is a great thing to do. Awesome job! :)

Very cute poem, straight from your heart. Sounds very free. I like the last verse best. It kind of relates to me and writing.

Keep it up!

I like this short lyric poetry. I've never actually read a poem ABOUT a singing so this is my first and I really like it. Nice work with the rhyming words. I always have a hard time doing that. So keep on writing and singing :D

That was really nice and sweet. Even I love to sing so I can relate quite well with you words and whatever you said is perfectly correct. Music definitely is 'the key to reach our destiny'. Nice poem. :-)

Hi there!

Wow, this is a great poem, I enjoyed reading it! You did a great job keeping the piece rhythmic and flowing. It sounds great and has a definite rhythm to it. There's great imagery and emotion in this.

I completely agree with this poem. I am a singer and this is exactly how I feel! :)

Again, good job! Keep writing!

Helluee Destie!

I really enjoyed reading this piece! It was lighthearted and just sweet overall.

"When I sing I’m in a world,
Completely my own,
and it doesn’t really matter,
if I’m a little off tone,"- I like these fours lines espacially much and I can totally relate!

When it comes to the structure though, I've got a few nitpicks. To begin with, your stanzas are very irregular as they differ in both number of lines, and length of each line. This irregularity disturbs the flow which is sad because that lowers the overall impression of this piece that otherwise is really good. It may not be very vivid and creative, but it's honest and lighthearted and made me smile! xD

Good Luck & Keep Writing

Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice." - Robert Frost

Hi there!
I really like this poem. It's quite good and I think you did a really good job expressing yourself. It's quite obvious that you love to sing just by readin this!
Keep up the awesome work!
