The one thing that life’s taught me,
Is to love and expect not a thing
The one thing that I’ve learned to see,
Is the heartbreak that expectations can bring.
Must we blend in, or stand out from the throng?
Must we always be right, or can we righteously be wrong?
Is happiness just a theory? Can it never be achieved?
Is sorrow forever? Or are the Zodiac signs to be believed?
The only thing that’s worth it all,
Is the comfort of having friends.
If everything is for a cause, then what does sorrow transcend?
Right or wrong, good or evil it’s a constant brawl.
Yes, no, maybe, definitely; my brain tries to stall.
Hope is constantly eclipsed by the pain,
Happiness is muslin, and sorrow is the stain.
Sometimes all we want to feel , is like we belong.
Sometimes all you need is a right that’s worth a wrong.
Sometimes optimism is the light,
Sometimes the end is worth a sight.
All that remains in the end is you,
Free of all the pain, rid of all the blue.
So just wait for hope to arrive,
Never yield,just continue to strive.
