I've already let go of your hand,
yet you still hold on;
You think I'm there beneath you,
but the truth is that I'm gone.

With the wind I have flown,
not by body, but by spirit;
My skin may have no feathers,
but I fly, and you can see it.

You choose to ignore,
the inevitable truth;
Stuck like glue to lies,
'cause your heart, is what they sooth.

My body may still move,
but my eyes are completely dead;
You may think we're still together,
but it's no longer me in your bed.

My soul has flown away,
to a place I can only dream;
No harm to my weary heart,
no more harm to me.

This is beautiful! :D I like the fact that you rhyme sometimes and then get off the rhyme, and I like that it's not like most poems which talk about being left, but leaving. Beautiful! Keep up the good work!

Cool! *speechless*
You'll know my story,
But you'll never know my name,
Neither the story of my life.. just yet.
