Your Profile Picture
(AKA something I'm thinking)

You log on
To Facebook.
Look at the picture
That’s been on your profile
For months,
And decide it isn’t good enough.
‘cause when he looks at it,
You want him to see beauty,
To hear all your words
Over again.
You want him to
See the real you,
Not just a picture
That’s on your profile.
So you change it.
Again.
And again.
And again.
And when you finally decide
On one,
You hope--
That maybe--
He’ll find
Beauty
In your dimpled chin,
Your squinted eyes,
Your wide forehead.
And you hope he won’t be thinking,
‘Man, that’s ugly.’
‘cause you shouldn’t have to change
For a guy.
You should just have to change
Your profile picture.

Just saying, I can totally relate to this.

I'm no poetry expert, not at all, put I think this was pretty good. However, the way you kept on making a new line was sort of annoying to me. Like it made it really clunky. But hey, that's just me.
I like this alot.

Cheers,

I don't know how to review poetry or even the different types of poetry, but I like this piece. It doesn't rhyme, but it's relatable and all poetry doesn't rhyme necessarily.
"Not just a picture That’s on your profile." You used profile a ton so I was thinking why not use "wall" instead because you have a wall on facebook. I can totally relate to this poem. :)

To gain your own voice, you have to forget about having it heard.
