Walking with the Wind

The wind howls around
dark corners, breathes
its dire ire
all over the world.
The walls of the house
teeter and totter
like an accordion.
The bed rocks
uneasily, as if the
Beast is preparing
to pounce.
I picture the breezes
rolling across fields,
the cool spring air
breathing all over me.
Leaves dance and flutter
in miniature whirlwinds.
Birdsong fills the sky.
For a moment,
peace endures.
"Don't bother just to be better than your contemporaries or predecessors. Try to be better than yourself." William Faulkner.

This is the best thing I've read on this forum so far...I really can't say there's anything that really needs critiquing here. Congratulations. That was one hell of a poem.

I thought this poem didn't really "go with the flow" if you now what I mean. But it's a good start. :D
Admiration: Our polite recognition of another's resemblance to ourselves.

Dopeler Effect: The tendency of stupid ideas to seem smarter when they come at you rapidly.

Confidence: the feeling a person has before he fully understands the situation.

Shin: A device for finding furniture in the dark.

I like anchovies~ but nobody calls me that.
