As I float above heartaches that aren’t my own,
I intend to sooth the pounding pains
Running through the vessels and veins
Of those who entrust me not only with their names.
So I fish for experience that is not in my tenure,
And as it is gathered, I allot to establish
An aiding museum, a display of guidance
-the act of generosity, an easy donation.
For when tears are shed on top of my shoulders
And the reason for despair intrudes my ears
I pat the back and shake the hand in which appears
A ticket I have been supplying all these years.
It granting entrance for them to perceive
The enthralling collection of my priced possessions.
And as my visitors give and take what they must,
I get reminded, I merely exhibit an assembly of trust.
