The ghost I am afraid
of is the kind that unearths dark
treasures with forgotten maps.

i didn't like this line for some reason. otherwise, i found the entire thing, although short, extremely beautiful and touching. in fact, i'll admit that it actually moved me, as it dabs around in sections of my past.
some wonderful lines:

every kiss a battle scar.

and I haven’t been able
to exhale since then.

in fact, the entire ending was amazing. it wasn't rushed or suprising, but it still was very shocking and interesting. it revealed the very bottom and bare truth of the poem perfectly.

(i was about to skip over this poem and save it for last until i saw it was by you. the title, i suppose. =] )
Carpe Diem.

The title sucked. I expected something better from you.

At least the poem surprised me. It makes so much sense.

But still, change the title ...

I like the title, actually..cliche as it is.

I really liked this though, I only wished it was longer.

This sounded really emo:
"In this life, I have accrued the injuries"

But the whole poem isn't that way so I guess it doesn't matter.

This poem is like...the true confessions of Brad or something...and in that case the title wouldn't be fitting but the poem itself seems that way. This is the kind of thing you should memorize and recite when you're standing outside in the pouring rain or lying in the snow (if you do that.)
when there's nowhere to go, it's time to grow up.

don't really like the title so much myself. the actual poem however is much better! :)

before i say anything, i'd like to ask: what do these words mean; 'accrued' and 'arrhythmia' - i have a small suspicion you may be trying to confuse me...

anyway these are my favourite parts:

Today is always warfare;
every kiss a battle scar.

and...

and I haven’t been able
to exhale since then.

personally i dont think it's emo at all but thats me.

i definately like the ending.

keep it up brad! :)

Yeah, the title threw me off. My first reaction was, "Oh great... Here comes a majorly emooooo poem." Should've known better - you're the kind of writer who can turn emo thoughts into REAL poetry.

The ending was beautiful. The last four lines blew me away. As always, you're great with endings.

That was intense. Perfect way to express the way many people feel on that particular day.
Please, sit down before you fall down.
