The ghost I am afraid
of is the kind that unearths dark
treasures with forgotten maps.
i didn't like this line for some reason. otherwise, i found the entire thing, although short, extremely beautiful and touching. in fact, i'll admit that it actually moved me, as it dabs around in sections of my past.
some wonderful lines:
every kiss a battle scar.
and I haven’t been able
to exhale since then.
in fact, the entire ending was amazing. it wasn't rushed or suprising, but it still was very shocking and interesting. it revealed the very bottom and bare truth of the poem perfectly.
(i was about to skip over this poem and save it for last until i saw it was by you. the title, i suppose. =] )
