Well, the title says it all, really.

Trying to find any and all reference materials on 50s-70s Croatia, or the Former Jugoslavia. I have a few essays by Slavenka Drakulić, but beyond that, the only person who comes to mind is Ivo Andrić, and I believe his writing was set pre-60s.

I know it's an obscure topic, but even so... any help would be wonderful. My characters are kicking up quite a fuss for want of a solid setting, and before I get too far into this particular story, I would like a bit more firm of a handle on where it is, precisely, I've flung them.

Thanks very much in advance!

Here's a website that might be of help: http://lcweb2.loc.gov/frd/cs/yutoc.html

And a link within that website:
http://lcweb2.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/r?f ... CID+yu0037)

:grr: The whole line above, even the part in parentheses, should be part of the link but it isn't, so you'll have to copy/paste it into the address bar. They should be reliable as they are from the Library of Congress. Well, one would hope, anyway. Other than that, I'd hightail it to the nearest university library and hibernate in their history section for a while ^.^

I would talk to Bjorn. He's Croatian.

Thanks very much Amelia!

Haha, and you, Dan? I've beat you to it. I was out asking him about it when we were still on TSR. ^_~ (No one can escape the great pleasant persistance of DD, after all).

What kind of question is that?

You're the Don!

'Course I love you, we all do - if only from fear for our lives. XD
