I was so tired. My lungs were stinging my chest - swelling to bursting point. My body was so hot I felt I would combust any minute. I had to get away - I had too. The fire... Oh my god the fire. It was roaring around me - hissing at me - teriffying me. I could hear him screaming. I had to get away - but i had to get to him. Pablo - Pablo, my baby, screaming a petrified whinnie. He needed me - I couldn't lose him. What have I done? The roof of the barn started to creek and groan. What have i done. It's all my fault. I'm trapped, I deserve nothing less - I deserve to feel the flames licking at my flesh, burning me, slowly stealing my strength, slowly cooking me, killing me... But not Pablo - not my baby, he didn't deserve to suffer for my foolish, childish mistakes. I ran - ran through the flames, I could feel my skin swelling, blistering, but i ran straight through the worst of it, not caring about the pain I was driven by adrenalin. I was so weak when I reached the door of his stall - I cannot remember undoing the kick-free bolt, I can't remember Pablo running past me, all I remember - is that feeling of utter exhilaration and exhaustion. I'd saved him - I'd saved him, and then my soul couldn't stand being kept inside it's prison cell, it didn't want to linger anymore in that inferno that was my body. I felt myself leave my burning tomb of flesh, and I could see myself - or what would have been better explained as my empty shell as it dropped to the floor and was engulfed in crimson flames...

Pablo lived - still lives and is proving his true potential as a show-jumper. I sit at a good distance away from him when he's being trained. I watch him the reason for my death riding my baby - riding him - taking him to the top, winning my prizes. He should have died. He was the one that... He was the one that forced me to make that mistake, its was his fault. I stare at him - i was an empty spirit, full of hate and anger, all other emotions had left me the day that I died. I WILL GET MY REVENGE. He will pay for what he's taken from me, he'll pay for leaving me in that barn unconscious and alone only to awaken to the hell of the fire. He Left me and Pablo to die and now - now he's using Pablo, the poor defenseless creature who's life he so very nearly sacrificed to save his own treacherous skin. I will get him, I will make him pay.

I will...
I will...

It's been three long weeks of waiting. He's riding at Hick-stead, showing off his favourite[i] horse Starlight, ha-ha lets see how well he'll take to seeing a ghost? Seeing MY[i] ghost. Well no time like the present.

He's at the top of the bank starting to go down the near vertical drop when I let him see me standing by the near six - foot fence at the bottom of the bank, and only he can see me. I watch his face pale, hear his breath catch. I smile, and start to laugh as I watch his legs lose grip, and see him tumble from the horse. Hear his neck snap as he crashes down the bank. My ghostly body starts to fade and I know then that I have succeeded in what I knew I had to do. I'd done it, but just as my spirit disappeared and left the earth permanently a terrible thought crossed my mind - who would take care of Pablo...

Okay first let me say that I found this piece interesting. I have to say that I was a little annoyed that she burned to death for was a horse but that's just me. Okay, now on to a few nitpicks.

The fire... Oh my god the fire

Oh doesn't need to be capitalized.

What have i done.

This should end with a question mak.

He was the one that... He was the one that

He doesn't need to be capitalized.

He Left me and Pablo to die and now

Left doesn't need to be capitalized.

I think you did pretty well with the descriptions here and I really liked the ending. Overall good piece!

The most important thing is to preserve the world we live in. Unless people understand and learn about our world, habitats, and animals, they won't understand that if we don't protect those habitats, we'll eventually destroy ourselves.
