Roman nodded and did as Patton asked.

"Does it take a while to kick in, or..?"

"Nope, it should be immediate! Just come on!"

Patton took Roman's hand and swam with him to the castle of Aquaria.

Roman was amazed. Breathing under water? This was all so new and fascinating! And not to mention the beauty if the kingdom. He noticed other merpeople looking at him and whispering to each other. Roman frowned. He assumed it was because he was human, which was half true. But the other half was that he looked a lot like the Duke...

Meanwhile, the Duke was picking his nose. ...Disgusting.

Patton led Roman to him.

"It's customary that newbies meet the royal family, so try to be polite please..."

Remus saw Roman and froze.

"Brother....?" He said quietly.

Roman blinked.

"...What..? What do you mean..?"

The Duke felt... familiar...

"Roman, brother...! I can't believe you made it here! How's dad????"

The Duke gave Roman a big hug.

Roman blinked, pulling away.

"...H-How..."

He got closer to Patton, looking creeped out.

"P-Patton, can we go..?"

Patton seemed equally creeped out.

"Y-Yeah..."

Roman gripped Patton's arm and backed away, turning to leave.
