(uhhh I’ll start)

As he hit the water, Roman could only try to think of what he’d done. The captain had never liked him. And now he’d upset him again, only to be pushed overboard. The captain knew fully well that Roman couldn’t swim, so it was hopeless. There was no other option than to give up, and he thought about that as everything faded to black.

Patton saw a body-- and a human one nonetheless-- fall into the water. He gasped and swam over, bringing the human to shore as fast as his fins would take him. The siren couldn't help but stare at the handsome god-like figure in front of him. He looked so peaceful... until he started coughing up water and gasping for air.

Roman groaned as he woke up, coughing up water. He blinked his bleary eyes, looking at the guy in front of him.

“...wh... huh..?”

"You're awake!"

Patton's eyes lit up and he smiled widely.

Roman blinked, looking at the smiling, sweet boy in front of him. And then, he saw it. He y•lped when he saw the tail.

“Wh- What the-”

(mm I saw "smiling, sweet boy" and I kinda just melted- I wish someone called me that-)

"Surprise, I'm a merman!"

He giggled at the stranger's reaction.

(can't imagine right now but I will eventually)

Patton put his tail up to the stranger. It was bright blue, shining so beautifully under the sunlight...

"Touch it, I promise you're not delirious."

“...”

Roman hesitated, before carefully running his fingers along the scales. He gasped. He wasn’t imagining things, after all!

“...Wow... incredible...”
