I had the tune from that Andrew Lloyd Webber song "Memory" in my head, and I started making up these new lyrics to the tune of the chorus. I liked them so I thought I'd post 'em and see if anyone else does.

Summer
It has ended so quickly
We're alone in the moonlight
Our hearts beating as one
You look at me, your eyes piercing deep into my soul
With the memory
Of the sun

Touch me
Promise you'll never leave me
Think of me when you feel lost
And when spirits are down
And the memory will stay alive in each of our hearts
There to soften
Every frown

Memory
For what seems like a lifetime
One that lasts for three seasons
Until summer returns
We'll remember the precious times when nothing was new
And together
We'll be one

I loved everything except for "Touch Me"...seems like something else should go there. As for everything else...it was great. I've never heard Andrew Lloyd Webber's Memory...instead, I was singing it along to the Beatles' Yesterday.
when there's nowhere to go, it's time to grow up.

I'm surprised you haven't heard it; you might have and not known it, though. "Touch Me" is a line in the song, that's why it's in there. I don't like it much either: it sounds a bit wrong in this day and age :P
