The Book Thief is a novel by Markus Zusak. Set in Nazi Germany, it describes a young girl's relationships with her foster parents, the other residents of their neighborhood, and a Jewish fist-fighter who hides in her home during the escalation of World War II. Published in 2005, it has won numerous awards and was listed on the New York Times Children's Bestseller List for over one hundred weeks.

It's a very enjoyable book, I enjoyed it 'till the very end and I hope that you guys will enjoy it as well.
Also, don't be fool by the way it says a Children's Bestseller, it does contain bad language like the B word :]
It made me very happy that I was able to read this before the librarian read it and decide to take it out.
Unless I read like... the 18+ version of that book... oh well :L
14 years have passed
And yet I'm unabled
To find a friend
For my existence is lower
Than a piece of grass.

For a short space of time I remained at the window watching the pallid lightnings that played above Mont Blanc and listening to the rushing of the Arve, which pursued its noise way beneath. The same lulling sounds acted as a lullaby to my too keen sensations; when I placed my head upon my pillow, sleep crept over me; I felt it as it came and blessed the giver of oblivion.
